- The Mawling adds from the Riftborn Monstrosity will now spawn with fewer hit points and resists, and spawn less often. @Kyronix ; or @Parallax
The "Slayer Paragon" on less populated Shards
I genuinely have to ask: is this working as intended? @Kyronix
Players on smaller shards are giving up. We just had a group of six people attacking one of the event PARAGON demons non-stop for over 30 minutes, and we barely got it to half health. In the process, we probably died over a hundred times. Is this really the kind of gameplay you think is fun or fair?
It honestly feels like the game is being tuned exclusively for large population shards like Atlantic. Is the goal to push everyone to play there and abandon the rest?
Do you actually check balance across shards before pushing these events live? Or is it just “flip the switch and let them deal with it”?
I’m asking seriously—because for those of us who still love our home shards, this kind of experience is incredibly frustrating and demoralizing.

There needs to be a plan to either have a character kamikaze themselves to lure one of the paras away or a mage to lure and invis. Then have a tamer come in and get their pet onto the para to tank OR sampire to tank w/heal assist. Mages help heal/invis if the para changes targets.
Fighting characters should have a demon slayer, either tali or weapon. Preferably Voidbane Elixir on weapon and then demon tali.
Mage characters should have a demon slayer spell book or Voidbane on the spell book.
Having a bard with a demon instrument would be a great addition.

During these Treasures events, i swap my Macer/Paladin's GM Parry for GM Necro, and go Vamp Form while still being able to bandage heal. Stagger slows down the enemy's attack speed, which makes them a lot more survivable. Swords Sampires can have a problem with hard hitting foes like the Paragon Balrons, unless you use Feint with Daishos. Swordsman = DPS, Macer = Tank.
The only thing that doesn't allow leeching are the shadow reavers because their attribute is anti-life leech.popps said:PlayerSkillFTW said:Macers can deal with the Paragon Balrons, due to Stagger. You really should at least try something so basic, as to just bring your sampire into the dungeon and play the game, before making these comments lol.
"Maybe don't play on a dead shard next time? And you wouldn't have this problem."
There we go, circle of life in UO complete.

Life Leeching has been allowed on Treasures Paragons since the last event, "Treasures of the Shattered Sanctum". It's why Sampires have become dominant again since the last Treasures event. The Shadow Reavers though are still immune to Life Leech/Drain.
