Suggested Updates to the War on 3rd Party

Three suggestions @Kyronix

1.) Make the disconnects more frequent. It's rumored that players are still abusing these clients by using auto-reconnect features and scripts (that supposedly take 0.1s to get you back in game) built in to said clients to stay botting on them. They are automating the relogging every few minutes.

2.) Add checks for disconnection at login, server select, character select, and when entering the game. Make sure they can't even get in to the game in the first place if possible. Perhaps add a timer before they can reconnect or a temporary lockout?

3.) It's been rumored that every time you are disconnected from the game for using these programs your account also gets you a mark, which gets you banned without question if you are paged on. Make this a reality if it's not already.

Usually running a file check and restarting fixes this, but I am absolutely not running any third party client just cc.

I would hate to get a mark because of this.

He said for using the illegal programs. Assuming that BS set up something that determines what client is being used, and disconnects anything but the CC, Web CUO, or EC, then a disconnect while using an approved client wouldn't flag or mark your account.

Let's think about this from another perspective.

The fact people are going to these lengths, suggests they do not have another satisfactory option?

Would you agree these lengths are extraordinary?

Now if there did not exist 2 unequal playing fields in the first place... or IF Classic Client had maintained some progress to meet quality of life requirements.

I personally think GCHQ should be called in to crack the algorithm.

Yes I do, I think you are too extreme, judgemental and downright nasty in your viewpoints.

Seriously onto that specific topic, there must be specific things they can do, not any of your suggestions that involve taking out the majority of the playerbase, but more targetted.
