I love love love !
 Is there a way to set a macro so my fish go directly into it?
can i set a macro to empty it directly into my ship hold?

If you are using EC you should be able to set up an "Action" to do both.

Edit: I don't think you set it for fish to go directly into it but a one click action should work

I just let them drop on the ground and pick up the ones I want. I think you can cut them on the ground also if you want.

in EC set an organizer 
add by type
set the bushel as the drop container

then just click the organizer on your backpack
they will automatically go inside them

then to put them in your hold
just click the arrows & target the hold
(I use Pinco's UI, not sure if you can do this with just EC)
