Can we get any of the developers to comment on this grossly unfair disadvantage??
A few solutions
Craftable wing barding
Add wind vortex or dust devil or flappy blinding to racial traits

Go the other way and at least make the other races give up mounted speed by saying the heavy swampy moves at walking speed

@Mesanna @Kyronix @Misk @Bleak

Puts on dead horse top hat and awaits reply..

"gargoyles get Berserk, which grants speed and power at the cost of defense"

This is not even close to damage reduction gained by riding something. both humans and elfs have racial traits....it's an unfair advantage for 2 races

Gargoyle Berserk grants +15% DI/+3% SDI for every 20% Health lost (+60% DI/+12% SDI max). The DI does not exceed the 300% damage cap. It requires you to be near death to really utilize. Needless to say, Berserk is pretty piss poor.
It'd be interesting if Gargoyle Berserk was more like the Berserk gear property, and could be toggled at will (with a toggle cooldown). With higher incoming damage and lower Health, you get a damage increase, extreme SR buff, and % damage reduction, but also a % healing received reduction. Currently, the only methods that grant the Berserk property are the Bestial Set, and Taming Mastery's "Combat Training: Berserk" ability.

But yeah, Gargoyles definitely need a way to add % damage reduction equivalent to Swampy Armor, other than just Spirituality Virtue. One of the big reasons you basically never see melee Gargoyles.

Berserker is a racial trait all the races are different that is acceptable not having an option for the same damage reduction is discrimination..
