the "too vaque" is better, but still essentially broken.

just tested.

many items still only show up if you type in the actual name (dont show up on pricerange search)

since most people i know browse rares using the high to low price option, its still pretty useless when very limited amount of items show up using search.

I type in the word "weight" and get everything on that shard and yes even Atl.

Still getting the "too vague" message here. Both clients.

Fully patched and ran a "Perform full file check" on each before starting.

Standard EC and standard CC.

Search was ran at 12:25 GMT (07:25 EST) so not really even prime time I would of thought for Atlantic.

whats the point to search weight ???? to make pressure on the system for no reason ?

I wounder if the physical size of Atl VS Warehouse is causing this.  Is it taking way to long to do any kind of search that it is basically timing out.

Using the word "weight" gives you everything on that shard.  It is the one word that is found on every item.  For people that visit shards it is an easy way to see what they have at a single glance.

I think all they did was allow the searches to take longer.  And now with all the returning accounts people have put more things on vendors and now it is taking too long again, so we get the too vague instead of the correct reason, Search took too long.

8 years or so ago I remember reading that Google sold HW/SW search packages to businesses.  I wonder if they still sell those types of systems and whether UO could adapt it to take over vendor search.  I get the strong impression that the legacy stuff they trying to use now just isn't up to the task.  I'm sure Oracle and other such companies offer the same, but if I were EA/Broadsword I'd go for the uber-tested and proven Google tech.  Plus I remember the word "sold" as opposed to Oracle who would likely want a yearly license fee.

This is a nice feature that they should have running....la sigh.

You can see everything if you choose not cursed...not fel...not antique... whichever fits what you want .

It does list everything. I choose high to low to see the good stuff first.  I like to shop.

Probably has more to do with the single essence, gold coin, etc listed for sale at 175M.

I have shard shields to every shard and I go shopping to get stuff I need or to help my home shard.  Atl is the only shard I have ever experienced a problem with.  There is a lot of garbage on Atls vendors and a lot of the same thing on a vendor.  I saw 10 Char Xfer tokens on the same vendor for 100M each, who can afford those vendor fees.  Type the word "token on Atl with one account and before it finished I was able to log another account on to GL, Pac and Europa with the same search and was done before Atl was done.  Never search Atl using Low to High because of all the junk you get.

@Bleak VS is broken again. I still get the "too vague" message AS well as, when asking for "Legendary scroll anat" I have gotten a message saying "no results match your search" for an hour. The problem is, I have been looking one on my own vender for that same hour. So ya, it's NOT fixed.

ATL, and the vendor has been opted in to VS for years

Are any other items on that vendor showing up in a search?

The skill value on this scroll doesn't look to be searchable atm I can look into that.

I had an issue today on Drach where it wasn't listing items that were in containers on the vendor.

Went to buy a runebook for 200k cause it was the only one listed on VS (and i really needed one lol).  When i got there the runebook was labeled 'display' next to a bag.  To my surprise the bag was loaded with runebooks for 400g ea.

it doesnt list everything.  youll notice if theres many items at the same price, it only lists a certain amount if you search everything.

high to low used to be my go-to for vendor search as well, until i noticed this.

it also groups it into batches when you search by keyword.  if theres an extra item searching high to low or low to high cuts the extras off.  you have to search both high to low, and low to high to see all items.

Well it seems that the Vendor Search "fix" was only temporary. It's broken again on ATL, and has been "off and on" for several days.
