has anyone tested the new whip? wondering if the explosion damage is high enough to spend points on one.

It does not happen often. Damage was same as a low range normal hit. Works for PvM.

My understanding is, that the general opinion about this new Weapon is that it is quite underwhelming and useless in combat....
Besides, it costs about 30% more then a Triton which looks to be a better tool as a Whip in combat....
Bottom line is, for many players, that these Whips are only good for their looks, not much for their usefullness in combat, at least I understand....

I got it to lock down, i knew it wasn't worth it when I picked it. Am I happy about the cost ? Not at all.
