So I can't attack thieves in guard zone anymore while they steal my potions?

For instance, on a red character if you attack a blue Thief that is stealing from you in gzone you will get guard wacked if guards are called.

It's sad that thieves have been so badly butchered that 99.9 percent of the remaining playerbase have no clue as to the full extent of stealing mechanics.

I mean he is stealing from blues and just hides on screen until he turns blue again. I attack him in gzone I get gwacked.
