It should be really possible to Remove Trap in Animal Form...

After all, it is possible to Pick a Lock in Animal Form... so, why on earth it should not then be possible for a Rogue to also Remove a Trap when in Animal Form ?

I am getting tired of having to get in and out of animal form all the time as I need to remove a trap and then get going to look for hidden chests...

Make a macro to cast animal form.... press it when you walk up to a chest. This literally takes 1 second. 

Are you that bored? lol

But he has to click to the next page for his ferret because he didn't listen to anyone on how to set his temp up lol.

That is what I did... still, going in and out of animal form to remove a trap is getting old... besides, as I said, I do not understand why it should be possible to remove trap while in animal form when one can well pick a lock already while being in animal form...

Haha, I'm not going to help you on this one, but I get your point.
My justification in my head has been - animals have hooves, so cannot remove traps!. 🙂

 Is there anything in this game that you don't find annoying or a grind? It's pressing one thing animal form I do it all the time.

Makes sense. We can't cast in form. Can't use specials. 

Probably shouldn't be able to detect hidden either. Good point!

Then why is it possible, while in animal form, to pick locks ?

Regardless though whether animals having hooves as a temptative "logical" explaination could be entertained (although, in a fictional game with magic and fantasy creatures I see that as rather pointless), my argument is that, as I see it, a game is an entertainment service whose reason to exist is to have its users "enjoy" their time spent in it...

Well, I happen to find it a chore and not entertaining to have to get into and out of animal form all the time just to use the remove trap skill on a hidden chest I found... to me, it is not entertaining...

Actually, Vampiric Embrace did get nerfed somewhat due to PvP. Vampire Necro/Mages used to be a thing in AoS, but were becoming so dominant, that they nerfed them by making even LRC/Arcane Clothing trigger the Garlic Damage (which LRC/Arcane Clothing had previously circumvented). After that, Vampire Form casters ceased to be a thing.

I used to play a necro pally who would fight in horrific beast form the regen was off the hook and you were still able to use chivalry spells.  I would love to play a bard/ninja in dog form you could buff forever

My red archer was a vampire but only casting Necro, no magery.
It was a shit solo build but I would use it with 2 other dude, I would act as support for the mage while the dexer would support us.

Wraith form was the way to go for melee sappire back then.. cuz itemization had not been totally broken yet... It was OP but u were on foot.. it was good risk vs reward.


Edit: Horrific Beast was not viable when it release.. I try real hard to make a viable option before opting for a sappire; wraith form/curse weapon/protection for gauntlet.
I suspect today with all the broken opness the blue beast can be viable.
PS: I even try to make a lich after the blue beast before going for the wraith form.

The available animals do not have opposable thumbs.  I am not certain you do irl.  Just kidding.  But having opposable thumbs would be very helpful for removing traps.

@popps ; why are you the only player having issues with the chests?  There's at least 3 other places to post, you are the only one having trouble making a template and doing the content.

Just Chests? He's had issues with everything dating back to 2011 on uhall.

Frankly, I do not understand it... I really find it extremely annoying that, every single hidden chest that I find, I am forced to have to get out of animal form just to remove the trap and then have to get back into animal form to go look for the next chest...

Considering that in animal form it does is possible to pick the lock, I wonder why then, to make gameplay more players' friendly, less annoying and more enjoyable, it cannot be possible to also permit players to remove the trap when in animal form. Is it going to break something ? I do not think so...

Then why not ?

If we go with "Yes it does really have to be this way"; will that end this thread?

Side note - this is a great example of how your request (using "...but you can pick a lock in animal form") turns into the Devs making a change that stops you from picking the lock in animal form... which is then going to annoy a lot more people. Way to go.
