Yeah, the entire event belongs back on TC1. This was decently thought out but POORLY executed. 6 hours between rotation at minimum (if you can even get past certain stages!) is too long. 

40 minutes of my capture and possibly 1 hour waiting for players because when I arrived they were already waiting.

Players asked for more templates to be involved in events, they do it, yall complain.  I guess yall did not do the Khaldun event.  You could do no damage without a crafter making your cadellite infused weapon or pet treat.

Would it help if I told you I got 25 drops and so much rubble from breaking walls and had to go drop it off before I wanted to finish it.

Posters say, bring back the bots!!

This.  Crafters should make a killing from the rubble alone that they get, but they do need the ingredients.

Picture of players waiting approx. 15-20 minutes (and that was one player, possibly longer) waiting for someone with ingredients to come and destroy a door.

From the time I took the original photo to this one, even longer, more people, totally blocked. 30 minutes wasted.

As I stated on discord either bring your own crafter or farm supplies your sense of entitlement is off the charts 

It really sounds like this thread is made and endorsed by players who want to monetarily profit  from the events.

They can't be bothered to play UO.

They could lower the catapult requirement.   120 to 140 shots is a lot.   With the leeches waiting for a player who plays UO to break the walls.

I hope LS has breeched the city today without me on.  They do have resources.

A lot of shards are reporting the same thing, people sitting for hours and hours and nothing, the fact that you need to rely on someone to log and help crafting. good luck   Europa shard we were sitting for 4 hours until someone finally help.   Will be a goo idea maybe for very low population shards to keep the gates open all the time?

Thirded. I brought what I had for ammo to the event yesterday and my (very small) supply was depleted fast! I spent last evening farming crystalline blackrock but it is slow. If you are bored go kill void creatures and/or shadow/ dull copper eles for those sweet void orbs and crystalline blackrock. I don't think I will go back to the event until the weekend but when I do I am willing to help craft bombs for all; I simply don't have the ingredients yet

Funny how a lot of these posters complaining are the ones asking for the devs to upgrade the Peerless etc drops.  ALL of those require gathering of "resources" before you can enter.

Devs, update items, posters complain they have to do something to get to those items.

Lower the amount of bombs and catapult hits should be the only modification to the event.

I told Popps he could have a lucrative business from crafting these items.  Drop runes at the city gate when the crowd is there. Someone will pay millions for the Bombs and Catapult kits.

I have a couple hundred thousand crystalline blackrock, I get it mining a lot and surprisingly to some - I enjoy mining, lumberjacking.


I think this event is crazy awesome, haven't been part of the walls yet but everything else has been fun - very pleasantly surprised.

I don't seem to have a stock pile of void orbs though, and I think I need them. Where do those come from?



A request. Can next event have some sort of running around cutting down special events trees for the crafters do build something with? A boat, maybe a giant wooden horse to breach the city, or even a wooden captcha structure that makes you identify which of these pictures contain a fire hydrant.

@Community Manager  While doing the dungeon just now I noticed a way to solve the resource issue.

The Void Wraith has a bunch of necro regs on it, like 20 to 50 of each.  Solves the need for Daemon blood.  The void slugs have reagents.  Others have resources.

In the Dungeon part.
The Voidspawn Horror has nothing on it but some gold.  Put a chance of 5 or 10 Void Orbs and/or Crystalline Blackrock  on those.  5 Blackrock on the Void Slugs.

This would prove if the feedback is legit or just from lazy players that want things for free.

We can only loot the paragons there.  So its not like we will get too much.

But we will have to fight to earn them.

It was a bad idea to use Void Orbs.  Every crafted weapon can use up to 30 of those.

If this is feedback, the dungeon is too Easy without the Rift Daemons!  Ours were replaced with renamed Cocoanut Crabs,  They are ok but not tough enough.  Every other dungeon I notice when my Dragon Barding wears out,  today I did not, even in a crowd.

I honestly doubt it, yesterday I saw how on discord Kyronix was putting on a face icon with hearts to a sycophantic comment and saying other things and yet he ignored my comment that I told him it was urgent.

Such was his disinterest that he didn't even enter the feedback I posted (being the author he could see the list of all those who enter to see it).

After a certain person entered, to provoke and see the 0 interest from Kyronix in particular, I directly deleted the feedback, just as I want it to happen with this one.

I don't do any more feedback on this event until I see a change.

I am very disappointed with some parts of the event and certain people I don't want to name here (who are connected to this).

Think about the players who like to do crafting.
Make friends with some, build your team with some crafters in, they are a valid playstyle like everyone else.
It's not all about what you want.

I remember it was first said when the event go live on TC that Blackrock and Crystalline Blackrock was not a good idea for crafting the bombs - because it's almost very rare to get this resources. It was suggested to use void core which you get easier and much more often by doing this Farmer Nash-Quest in Holy City for example. But that's a point we know for years - we complained about for years and none of dev's side ever listened - maybe till today? Perhaps they can see this now - the the best result i know about was getting blackrock cristaliline once from the gold elementals in Blackthorne's dungeon, but one day someone complained farming this elemental hunting and it was decided to close the dungeon - because of maybe this one-man-complaining - that was fact! If you kill posibilities to get need resources you have to live with that, that there's maybe no other change to get what you need. And what we urgently need - are a dev team that communicates with the experienced long players  - and not with a pvp/rp whatever kindergarden 🙂

First of all it is quite a nasty thing to accuse people of being a cheater or using bots without a proof. I was a target of such abuse in the past, unfortunately I lost my calmness back then. This is why I think I am at my 13th account on the forums. I think accusing people of being a bot user without a proof should be a against the code of conduct of the forum for trolling. Not everyone that is asking for changes are using bots. 

With that being said, we are on the 3rd day of the event. I suggest we wait at least a week before we ask the developers to make changes. It would be nice to see how things fall into place when people have more time to figure out things in the weekend.

I like the current event structure. I hope the devs do not change it. On the other hand, if this becomes a painful issue for everyone, then maybe they can add an NPC that destroys the doors at quarter speed. So players have a chance to collect the rubbles but fighters don't have to wait 2 hours for people to come online? Or they can add the required resources to the NPC for the event. Like enough materials for 10 bombs for 10 drops? 

This is just my $0.02.

Fighters, talk in chat. Ask crafters to make you the barrels of explosives, the siege kits and the ammo kits. Buy the items from them. Trade for them. Offer resources.

I notified by chat and as I said, it wasn't until 14:53 that the attack on the gates started

This on day 2, when there is no interest from the crafters who have the ingredients, end of the event.

Do you want crafters to be used? Perfect, let me buy the ingredients from an NPC and I'll make it (if that's the goal, let them use the crafter).

I don't want to pay vendor search speculators, the goal is to use crafter, ok, let me buy a set of ingredients from an NPC, not from speculators.

Keep it simple and think for everyone.

You didn't express yourself well or the translator doesn't translate it well.

If a change is made it benefits other shards, not just Europa. You want crafter to be used? perfect, ingredients you can buy from an NPC or you can with an alchemist make blast potions for example.

And of course, I post pics from Europe because that's where I am, I'm not in another shard.

But as you can read on page 1, I'm not the only one reporting problems, in sparsely populated shards there are also problems.

Mis, I think the people here are confused as to why you are not participating in the crafting portion of the event? If you have two accounts, even with one as an EJ account, you don't have a single crafting character? That's 8 characters and all fighters/mages/rouges? 
Or are you saying that you do not like crafting and don't want to do it? So you are suggesting the entire event concept be changed because you and a handful of others don't like to craft. Meanwhile, many crafters are happy to be included.
I think in the end if you want to do the fighting portion you should invest in creating a crafting character and collecting some resources to bust open the gates yourself OR become friendly with your Shards crafters and ask them how you can help them.

I’m at a loss as to what to say that your whole shard has to depend on one crafter that didn’t finish the job. Not a soul on the shard could pick up where he left off?

It is very comfortable to say that everything goes smoothly when you are in a shard where for whatever reasons, be it population and a large amount of ingredients, the crafting part is taken care of.

But in Europe there is a lack, happened this morning too, although I haven't taken pictures, so it's not an isolated case, it's a lot of times already.

But this event was developed for minorities or majorities, that's the question, because not all shards have the same number of players.

To correct a few misunderstandings.
I brought bombs to knock down the first wall. Then I swapped chars. I forgot about the wall at the other end of the bridge, so I brought my first character back

Then I brought my crafter to operate the catapult. When the catapult collapsed I didn't have another deployment kit and I was almost out of ammunition kits, plus my pet had died, and I needed it to hold the kits, as they're rather heavy.
I went home, sorted all that out, then returned to finish knocking down the gates. Also I wasn't the only person operating a catapult.

I have a squirrel mailbox at my castle, if any impatient warrior would like to throw a few crystalline blackrock and void orbs in it, I'd be happy to use them to make more supplies.

I find it funny to read you, how you focus on it in the singular when clearly it is not something exclusive, but, as you can see in the images, there are many who are in the same situation, blocked without advancing.

Everyone will have their own reasons why they don't go for those ingredients.

I've already said mine and I've even exposed them in discord.

I see very false that a door can be broken only with crafting explosives and does not accept explosions of mage or blows of a weapon, and I add, nor potions of great explosion.

Just because of that falsehood, I won't collect a single ingredient.

In any case, if it is stated as it must be a physical explosion of an item created by a crafter, if it accepts blast / big blast potions or the ingredients were freely available bought from an NPC, then yes I use my crafter, not before.

Why don't the other players who are waiting go and look for ingredients? I don't know and honestly, I don't care what the reason is, everyone will have their own.

Spanish, but I guarantee that even speaking the same language we wouldn't understand each other, just reading your way of thinking is something that is clear to me.

It takes 4 kegs of bombs to get through the first two walls. Two kegs on each wall. I don’t know if it matters but I throw the bombs at the same panel in the wall the whole time. I can carry 4 kegs no problem. 

I suggested on discord that having a gypsy bank wagon drift down to the bridge would be helpful to crafters

Of course, it is the official client and as an exceptional thing I kept shift+control to show all the names because a user commented on the first page that why the names were not shown, making speculations that they are bots, that it had several characters that don't exist, etc...

The crafter just makes the items.  You warrior can use them.

Last night I shot 7 ammo kits, got so many drops and rubble that I had to bless myself and go drop stuff off before I could fight.
