Account management WARNING

For years i have been working out of town so i manually renew my subs when i get home then promptly delete saved card info so i have total control over my accounts.

It seems this month, they have decided to AUTOMATICALLY charge my card even though there is no saved card info.

I'm fortunate to make enough where money really doesn't matter but i can see where some may be less fortunate and end up with confusion and possible double charges so i expect this to be fixed sooner rather than later.

A public statement is requested when this issue is pinpointed and fixed.

Because it appears to be an issue with the billing side of EA, I would recommend contacting EA and asking what may have happened in this instance. Best of luck to you!

I'll wait. One of these people playing the 90 day game with 50 accounts will take care of it.

As must as i detest help chats I went ahead and contacted EA India.

Just deleting payment info seems to not work anymore and you must contact them to cancel the sub and contact the last known card to block further payments.

Automatically renewing with no saved payment info seems like borderline fraudulent business practices to me. Thoughts?

Maybe unrelated but if you're going through the trouble of removing CC info everytime why not also just hit the cancel subscription button as well?

When you enter a credit card into your Mythic account, it automatically adds the card to EA’s website for purchasing all of their games. I’m not sure if deleting your card from the Mythic site will automatically remove it from the EA website. I would recommend checking EA website also. https://www.ea.com/

I agree - sounds fraudulent to me as well.   If there is no CC info saved they should not be allowed to charge you.  A failed transaction and an email warning should be the correct process.

I'll try that next time or go back to GTC. Over the past years I've done this, the accounts just go dead.

The reason I'm after this is because I've played with several that are on fixed income that alternate between accounts. This could be harmful.

James- that's a negative on saving on the EA site. I've never had anything saved there after the FiFa hackings.
