Was something changed for Giant Beetles pet slots ?

I was checking pets in a character's Stable and found a bonded Giant (blue) Beetle which, when loring it, shows 3 --> 5 pet slots... yet, it seems to not have gone under any pet training at all.

My understanding is, that Giant Beetles start with 1 slot and this is also what shows here https://www.uo-cah.com/bestiary/Giant_Beetle

So, how is it possible that this Giant Beetle starts with 3 pet slots ?

Would it be worth anything as an old times oddity or is it just taking up Stables space all for nothing ?

Prepatch Beetle, meaning it was tamed prior to the change to one slot. if you released it and retamed or pressed the "begin training diamond" it should morph to a 1 slot.

Nope. They took that away long ago. Those beetles, Cus, Hiryus are stuck with their old slots.

Great design and it shows how much they care about their game and it's player base.

Giving 2 slot CU to the exploiters while making all our old CU's useless if we were not here to exploit and y'all let them off the hook.. taming a strong CU was one of the worse grind I ever experienced on a MMOrpg.. and thx to BS, we have the honor of redoing that.. while competing with cheaters multi accounting 3 accounts on the CU zone.. cuz it's the PIT OF HELL design otherwise (2 of them are fully automated)

I killed all of mine but kept the lineage/memories intact.. ex: Tocson 3 slot became Son of Tocson 1 slot.
