Stay - but from what you've posted, I'm guessing you're on Atlantic. Consider moving, or creating a new character on another shard.
Many people are getting more drops than I - I don't think about what they've got, I think about whether I will have enough for the items I want by the time the event ends in February.
If greed is driving the decision go. If it's fun stay.
You're not paying to win, and you tbh you shouldn't have any more right to what spawns just because you paid for a higher chance for something to spawn. But people are feebleminded now and think their dollar holds any actual value over someone else's subscription.
You're gambling. There is no guarantee that you will get anything just because you put a dollar into the machine. The sooner people understand that, the sooner they can start to mentally and emotionally cope with the idea of a semi-open world game.
If I use a luck potion no one else is aloud in the city I'm hunting in well except bards
If people weren't buying there'd be no bots
How is that analogy about ATL being a ferrari accurate? Walk me through that?
An FYI tossed in here. The giant Turkeys are on each year, I don't think they turn them off, One just ran amuck in Luna on Atlantic. Lots of deaths, Turkey was not Guard whacked.
You have to kill many turkeys to get one.
Don’t really know how much experience you have had with UO. Honestly UO has more internal problems than any other game I have ever played, and the games performance level often varies from one night to the next, often it varies materially during a several hour play session. The first couple years of play can be really frustrating due to the really steep learning curve incorporated into the games original design, and your lack of funds. But if you find other players you like to play with, that can make up for all the game’s shortcomings.
Maybe as has been suggested try a different shard. Most events appear, like this the current event, to be designed for smaller groups of players, on my shard usually about a half dozen during the time of night that I play. But, on the downside as time goes on fewer are playing the event. With the shattered event it does not matter so much dropwise how many are playing.
if you are a returning player and like the game, I would stick with it. If you don’t have much invested, and are still looking around, I would keep looking. Players I have met that really have applied themselves, and that’s not me, have really advanced in the game, but it takes awhile.
On my shard I usually get about 6 to 8 drops, and if I participate in necromancer battle three or four more. That’s with usually four to six other players participating.
If the game just worked normally like other games. Had an hour or so to play today but for the whole time I was on, about 20 minutes, the server never normalized. My player keep freezing. Was froze twice trying to cross the bridge into the British Invasion event. Logged off and on still freezing after al long wait for logon to work. Finally just turned the game off.
