New color nightmare

Can the new color nightmares only be caught during the event or can they be caught after the event is over?

The new nightmare colors are not listed under the event in the publish notes though. Unlike the shadow hounds, I would think the rare nightmare colors are here to stay.

I would assume no, since they specify "this Halloween season" which the nightmares do not but the wording could just be bad all around. I'd assume if the nightmares were only meant for the event though they would have put them under the event and specified "for a limited time only."

I'm pretty sure all that stuff outside of Black Market is ending on 11/30. I vaguely remember seeing a end date somewhere for it.

the community manager posted a pictures with the end date 11/30 for the masks and the skulls. (and nowhere does it say that they are temporary. I have been trying to get a full set of skulls, just in case they decide not to have them next year)

the new nightmares are a limited time event (was posted in a newsletter) It just doesn't state if it ends when the Manifestation of Evil leaves or if it stops when PART III ends (part II, aka Shattered Sanctum ends in February & that is when Part III starts) I wish they would let it continue until the conclusion of the event cycle. And wish they would add a couple more hues (like Wildfire or Rawiya pink)

I burnt 7 totems tonight and only got 1 red 1 void. 

The spawn rate is definitely down considering I used to farm voids before with no totem. 

Too grindy for me.

Interesting. Personally, I'm not sure why they'd want to remove them. Seems like a nice addition to the taming sphere of game play, and the colors (even with totems) seem to be extremely rare. 

I'd love for them to just leave them in. FOMO is the worst thing a game can implement. I can see how UO likes to create 'value' out of items, but I'd think implementing tames similar to Dread Warhorses, Bane Dragons, and the new shadow hounds would be a better way of going about creating value. 

Having multi-hued nightmares just makes taming more interesting/enjoyable imo. Totally agree with more hues too. Hopefully they do similar things with other tames in the future. There seems to be masses of unused land that could be sculpted into providing additional habitats for these tames.
