Is it currently safe to enter our login information on the web version?
It looks like you will have to download the game files of UO before using it once UO is a choice.
I need to clear some space.
Right now the there are a lot of free shards listed I'm assuming they will go away when it goes live?
I'm not clear whether the web client will run on any Chrome device, or does it still require Windows? Does anyone know?
I downloaded everything on my Samsung Galaxy Android tablet and was able to log in, but after that it is a complete mess. I have two major problems that are really preventing me from doing anything else. # 1 is that my mouse is out of sync with the cursor. I move the cursor and click on the screen, but the click doesn't register where my cursor is at. The second problem is that the video is very finnicky and it flickers constantly if I try to maximize the window and/or change anything about the gameplay window size or zoom.
So, while it appears logging in on Android is TECHNICALLY possible, there are serious issues.
I suspect maybe it doesn't play well with certain resolutions and/or display framerates.
I didn't have a lot of time (fiddled about while on lunch) but couldn't really find a macro section. could somone point it out to a blind old fart?
Now that the team openly acknowledged free shards will they quit pretending stratics doesn't exist?
works in Linux Mint 22 with Microsoft Edge chromium browser.
Some thoughts after several hours with the new client:
1) There needs to be a desktop version--playing in a browser window is cumbersome.
2) The new client lacks so many basic features of the classic client, what exactly are we gaining?
3) The new client lacks some of the most important UOAssist features especially in the agents area.
4) Every time I loaded into the game it was a seemingly different version. Sometimes there was a map sometimes not, sometimes my hotkeys were there sometimes they were not, etc.
We can't even keep the forum working correctly or the uo.com home page are we really supposed to have faith the team can keep this running??I think our hopes were that the classicUO people would be involved...
Having played EC for many years I'd forgotten how terrible the CC can be other than some art work the EC just far superior o just don't understand the insanity of adding yet another client or the years wasted on NL or why the contest winners don't have banners yet...
Got an error that it's not supported on the base install for firefox, it recommended chrome 121.
I updated chrome to the latest version and uninstalled all my browser extensions.
The only progress that I've made is I can log out via paperdoll button, and when I log back in I can manually pull the macros profile from the top icon on the right hand side.
But if I log out and close the browser and then come back in, it doesn't keep the saved macros.
It's saving my login though, and the setting on the login screen to disable music.
I'm wondering if it might help to have the ClassicUO native client installed. That might work. I just don't want to be 'caught' using unauthorized softwares.
Even if it works perfectly it doesn't work to stop the cheating it doesn't upgrade the actual cc at all it just adds something for supposedly overwhelmed team to keep working correctly what's the point..
It ran ok on Chromebook so no windows needed
The ability to import our user data files would fix a lot
Has anyone had any luck with the autoloot thing? I set it up like the tutorial on classicuo's website and it will tell me that the gold has been autolooted but it stays in the corpse's inventory?
Also weirdly today it won't let me use runebooks haha
I'm sure things will get ironed out in time but any ideas on it would be greatly appreciated!
