After bane wars we will have ostard wars in uo

really happy they introduce something simillar to bane dragon for all returning players and people who where not there for banes event

Umm a bane is 3 slot.  These are 4 slot.  They are start with less than a Cu.  So do you really like a 4 slot Cu?

3 PvP fixes though.

3 potential fixes to the Bane train. Should be interesting to see how this works out.

As per Kyronix the system is automatically making them a 4 slot, but they are an exact clone stat wise of banes. Something will need to be decreased if you want them to be 3 slot. My guess is HP.

But then, this would still mean that these Ostards will be "sub par" with the Bane Dragons while it was my understanding that these Ostards were meant to be the "new" Bane Dragons but with a different "skin".....

They have pack instinct. So if you will NOT train them and attack smth in a group - wil be funny. 
Training to 5 slot leads to loosing pack instinct. So choose wisely. 
Also having 1 bard in party will give you all MR and HPR you need.

Go ahead and try that.  It would be like taking 5 wolf spiders to navrey,  The mob will just kill them 1 at a time very quickly because the resists are low.  You should also want them at 3 slot if that is your goal.

But yeah, spawning at 4 slots right now, the Wildfire Ostard is pretty weak. They should just remove the Magery from it so it can be 3 slots.

It's an Ostard. It will be 1-slot 

@PlayerSkillFTW ; it dont need to be your ostard. You can party with other people. 
Try Stygian Drake, for example. Which is 4 slot. Fighting same mob (or player) with other drakes it will get pack bonus. But raising it to 5 slot will remove pack instinct.

Are you 100% sure about that ?

But that is an old Post from 2010 so, things might have well changed.... do you have some official info that support what you are saying or is it from your personal experience ?

I did a comparison on the new Ostard (to a Triton). To @PlayerSkillFTW point the Ostard being 4 slot makes it extremely weak and pretty good chance not usable to majority of players.
