Can this biggest and boldest endeavor please include:
a real royal crown? We have a King's Collection but only a not so royal looking circlet.
Peg leg versions of footwear? We have High seas and a lot of pirate content but no way to dress the part.
Eye patch versions of headwear?
A meaning to Lord/Lady titles. What exactly are we supposed to be Lords of?
All for those things! The eye patch should have been added to T Chests like the Flower Garlands were.

If you're expecting new content, be prepared to be disappointed. If they were doing an expansion, they would have said "expansion".
They are talking about audiences. That would indicate wider distribution. Even an expansion with a new playable race (Dwarves!) would not get new eyeballs on the game. Putting the game in front of the modern gaming market, that would.
Steam, or Mobile with some serious client changes.
If you're not expecting much, then when they finally announce it, you can be pleasantly surprised. That's my plan.

they would have to seriously dumb down the controls thus dumb down our exact control over our characters to go on console or phone. I wouldn't mind it so bad, relaxing on the couch playing it though.
I disagree, I would much rather run around using the left joystick than the right mouse button.
But how would macros work or even skills? you would have to limit them pretty heavily to just a few buttons. If you suddenly needed a less used spell or skill, you'd have to get to it the slow way and assign it a button. This is what I mean by dumb it down, make it more simplistic to work on a controller.
I'm guessing client improvements to some degree.

How about turning on past events such as the Invasion and letting them run for a month? Each month a different past event is turned on.

This had me thinking about what we have been doing the past few years... We have had Jack the pumpkin King invade our lands, the Titan invasions, Khal Ankur... Where did they come from?
People keep asking for more cities to be destroyed, because they love the rubble... I keep thinking... What if Hawkwind opened up a portal, to find out where all these things came from? And we can go there to destroy one of their cities... I think that would be a big and bold adventure... And can you imagine how many people would come back to take part in that...
but at this point, all we can do is speculate about what we think they meant
when i hear bold..i hear " we gonna change everything you love to everything you hate" because why else would they need to be bold? bold means courage in the face of DANGER..so what danger can they face besides the real danger of pissing off all their players? hehe just food for thought

Maybe their biggest and boldest endeavor is they're going to add content from Ultima: Worlds of Adventure 2: Martian Dreams. A WHOLE OTHER PLANET!!!! Having not played that title I don't know much about it except the name. Does anyone know if it was good, sucked, or what?

We honestly don't know what is going to happen. It could be a new client, opening on steam, new land mass or even a new race.
I'd be happy with new land mass and a new race. Also my first post here and non account bound new hair style tokens. Yeah.
I'm fairly certain it would take very little effort to turn on Keep/Castle placement in Malas, and also to lift placing restrictions thereby freeing up tons of land space for more houses elsewhere. It would take the same minimal effort to increase the amount of storage in any house size. I only live in a castle because it has the most storage, not because I want a gigantic house that I have to run from room to room , or teleport to.
Speaking of housing and the future large audience, the busiest shard is Atl, which as we all know has next to 0 spots available for housing. Reaching out to a larger audience to get new subscribers that will quickly find out that the busiest shard is also the least opportunistic when it comes to housing, might pose as a problem. Wonder how they'll address that ?

Chiming in to say I would totally play UO on my phone even if all I could do was slowly chat and like kill ettins while taking a crap.
I hope that they release on Steam, reenable the Kingdom Reborn client UI and graphics. Then create a fresh start sub required progression shard that advances based on votes, and you must use the KR client on this shard.
Unfortunately, I know I am in the minority when it comes to the love for the KR graphics and UI, but I know for a fact, if UO wants any chance of a resurgence, these are the things required to bring in a new following on Steam.
I hope the "biggest and boldest endeavor" Will be: Banning the scripters/RMT people/multiboxxers. INCLUDING (without mentioning any names of course) The ones who have posted IN THIS THREAD! 🙂 I'm not holding my breath though. Enforcing the ToS actually falls under the heading of doing one's job!

Im just hoping it doesnt destroy this game. Im not being cynical but the odds are against it being an amazing thing that everyone loves. its just not how publishers and devs work. They usually do their own thing, and throw a bone por two to shut players up meanwhile changing their game to fit some skewed vision. These days its even worse as publishers are being more aggressive with getting into global markets and making that micro transaction money..so they wil literally gut their games to fit the needs of such globalism, and delightlyfully lose all loyal followers to get the sweet dough of the new generation of click zombies.
I have hope that UO's legacy is respected enough to not completely change the way it works on fundemental levels. I'm ok with change, as long as the essense of uo is there.
If you need to make more money, id go with a UO 2, as that would make more sense, then you can more stylze the graphics and dumb down the controls.
