What's the best way to get mibs now? I never get them from free roaming creatures on the water, and I just set up an aquarium for hopeful mib rewards.

The dolphin vet reward rug gives one mib per week
as for fishing up sea serpents, some areas of the sea seem to be better than others. I have fished the same route on two shards with significant success. I launch a boat from the west coast of Serpent's hold and sail south to just short of the server edge, sailing slow forward and fishing as I go once I get out of shallow water. I then fish back up the same route, then turn right for a count of 8, turn right again and fish south and back again. Continue in this way till you reach the east edge of Serpents hold, or until you're bored 😂
