Does triggering the trap in Wooden Chests with ML resources result in destroyed content ?

The Wooden Chests containing Mondain's Legacy resources are locked and trapped.

Does "triggering" the Trap after picking the lock, destroy any of the contents thus implying the need to use Remove Trap on them also, to avoid losing any of the ML resources ?

Or, is it safe to trigger the trap since this results in no destruction of the ML resources contained inside?

Nope, Killing peerless does not destroy ML Resources.  

(should be the only way to get them)

Well, since it used to be that having a Chest's trap go "off" would destroy items (hence it was more beneficial to Remove the Trap before prying open the Chest), I was wondering whether it was the same with the locked and trapped Wooden Box which contains Mondain's Legacy resources....

By the way, the "Wooden Chest" that I am referring to, is the one in the picture....

It comes Locked and Trapped.

Does anyone know what is the source of it ? From Artisan Supply Treasure Maps or from Peerless Creatures or yet some other source ?

I believe those chests drop from Leviathan when casting ancient fishing nets. The contents are not destroyed when using telekenisis to trigger the trap.

It comes from tossing white nets. It pops at the feet of the net tosser. It contains only one type of ingredient. Opening the chest by lock picking and then casting telekinesis on it from a distance does not destroy any of the contents. You could also just unlock and take the hit if you so chose.

Well, moving the cursor on it when Locked or even with the Lock picked, only shows the weight in stones, NOT what is inside of it.

Therefore, if one lets the trap go off by telekinesis or whatever, there is no prior information to compare the findings inside and thus figure out whether the Trap destroyed any of the contents....

From where did you get the impression that items could be destroyed by using telekenisis?  As far as I am aware that only happened on treasure chests for a short period in the early testing of publish 105. It didn't happen before publish 105, and didn't happen after part 1 of that publish.

By the way, are you sure that it is the Leviathan which drops that particular Wooden Box ?

The reason that I am asking, is that I have been checking the available informations and could find no reference to this particular Wooden Box in none of these links....

Also, what are the odds of getting a Fabled Fishing Net ?

May I then please ask you, whether the Wooden Box containing the Mondain's Legacy resources only and exclusively drops from white nets pulling up Leviathans or also in those cases when Osiredon the Scalis Enforcer is pulled up ?

Also, the resources inside the Box, that you could find out, are only always the 6 generic ones or also it can happen at times that the box carries any of the ML "specific" resources (Captured Essence, Diseased Bark, Dread Horn Mane, Eye of the Travesty, Grizzled Bones, Lard of Paroxysmus) ?

Also, did you by any chance found out whether the Luck worn on the suit affects the contents of the Wooden Box ?

Every Ancient SoS contains a fabled fishing net. The percentage chance of receiving an Ancient SoS has been tweaked recently, but I have no actual figures.

I'm unsure whether it affects the results when opening the bottles.

Do you know whether the current, ongoing content and changes to Treasure Hunting and MiBs and SOSes have affected anything related to this particular Wooden Box drop and content from Fabled Fishing Nets (White Nets) castings ?

I have never seen any of these in them... 

usually I get taint, scourge, corruption, or muculent

Can someone come to my houses and tell me where I got all these items? 

Just because they are mine does not mean I remember where they came from.
