Treasure Map Ogre Lords... Are they supposed to be spamming cure spells?

Something I've noticed with my supply and cache maps.

The Ogre Lords are getting poisoned by my beetle, but then they start spamming cure or arch cure (not sure which).

They have no magery. They aren't simply immune to poison.

They are getting poisoned and CASTING CURES. You can see and hear the cure effect going off when they cast it!

Is this something new, or something I missed in 16-17 years of game play?

I guess you did miss a bit. Ogre lords do and did have mid level poison immunity. Arctic ogre lords have 100% poison resist so they don't give a hoot about poison as well. Doesn't explain whatever animation you're seeing, so no idea about that.

It's NOT Poison immunity. I know how that works, and what it looks like.

They are SPAMMING CURE. And it's occasionally curing them after my pet's GM Poisoning goes off. Sometimes after 5th or 6th cure attempt.

Dread Pirates are doing it too, they never cure the beetles poison but they keep making the sound like they are.
