I have found some imbuing guides, but it seems reforging is still complex and difficult to find good instructions on.
Does an actual 'How to Reforge XYZ' guide exist?

The official uo wiki has a page,
The only thing that is missing is, some of the named options you won't be able to select if you're using high end runics, (or if you select powerful re-forging)
Also, to combine the charges on 2 runics of the same type, double click one runic and target the other (max 90 charges)

The above page has good info. The gump that comes up when you are ready to reforge has good info in it. It is one of the better gumps in UO.

So between the in game info and these two pages you should be able to use them with confidence.
The part about missing options when using higher tools is the only snag. But when you try the higher tool you see that option is not there.

The best guide I know of was produced by a player named Semmerset. I got permission to re-produce those tables on the old Stratics site, but the player left, so it is no longer possible to get permission to re-produce them elsewhere.
