Returning Player with Mining Question

So when I played years ago, I’m 99% sure that I put my 100 mining skill on a soultstone which of course I lost when I stopped playing. I am also quite certain that I have already read the book “Mining for Quality Stone” (because I have a hammer and chisel in my pack).

My my question is...Now that I have to raise my Mining again, will I have to read the book again, or will it still be in effect?

If you read it with that character it should still be in effect once your skill is high enough.

@Cissero once you reach GM, be sure your character has read the other mining-related book which allows your miner to get ordinary gems instead of stone. This is particularly useful if your characters on the shard include an Imbuer. Once you are GM and have knowledge of both, you select between them from a menu on your shovel or pick. Your choice remains even when that particular tool is used up.
