Hello all its been quite awhile but I have come back to uo. I was sad to see most shards are dead but Atlantic is booming. I am finding it quite hard to even get a simple house. I am feeling it's a pipe dream and living out of my bank box is hard. I will say the prices of items are high and markets lack basic items. Spellbooks, Rune or Bulk ones too. Any tips info or a simple spot you know of plz let me know. Thank you.

Most shards are not dead, and many people are currently out doing the current event which requires one to be all over the various facets rather than bank sitting, and which pays very handsomely if you get lucky (rideable dragons which are worth quite a bit, into the billions of gold):

What shard were you on before you last left? Plenty of us here can help you out if you mention what was your last shard, and you may have bank boxes or backpacks full of goodies worth quite a bit on whatever shard it was and depending on when you left.

You can get small houses on Atlantic, but on most shards you can easily place an 18x18, a tower, or even keeps if you look hard enough (and/or are willing to live in Fel in the case of a keep). And I mean place at cost (a few hundred thousand gold), not buying from a "realtor" who is trying to charge a billion gold for a 16x16 on Atlantic or whatever.

I just recently needed to place a house for all the deco eggs I've been collecting (since it sounds like there will be a turn in vendor for them)... while it's harder to find a spot on ATL than any other shard, there are in fact some spot still available.

That said, they aren't going to be the primetime spots like 18x18 by the water in Tram.... it's going to be more like a 10x12 in Fel. It should still do the trick as a first home as you collect stuff and either save for a house or find another spot.

It depends how bad you want a (bigger) house, but now is a good time because the mature eggs are selling for insane amount currently (all are upwards or over 1 plat) so if you do get one of them you can likely sell it or trade for a house in a better spot.

There is also talk of "cleaning up" how IDOCs are placed with some of the bigger offenders being "put on notice to cut it out". We don't have much to go off of there but it's likely that it might be a little better for the average person trying to place a house if they start enforcing that.

Ty for responding Lokea and keven2002. First let me give a massive shoutout to LoveSpirit you gifted me a house and a bunch of other item so greatful. The shard I played on most of the time was napa valley shard. I have 2 old accts I been waiting on uo support to get back to me about 3 weeks currently. I am currently rebuilding myself from the beginning. I did spend about 2 hours on horse back running around the shard I didn't see one person. I saw Atlantic was very active so that's why I came here. I spent tge last 10hrs running all over trying to place a small house cause my bank box was maxed. That's why I thought why not post. I am glad I did seeing post responding to my question and for those in the game that offer to help very greatful. If anyone got some tips for me shoot away my last real gaming was 2009. I still need to add more expansions so currently I got all but the high sea.

Tip for right now is to work the Umbrascale event and get some of the reward items (multiples if you can). The SDI chest piece is great for a mage and the gloves/mempo can be great for a warrior. They help by making other content easier helping get more (different) items from future events.

Also a good way to make coin after the event ends.
