Yes, storage IS an issue and a very BIG one...
Every new Event adds tons and tons of new items to collect, store, organize yet, we have pretty much the same storage means of a about 15 years ago saved a few additions which helped a little but have been, to my opinion, not sufficient to meet the increasing storage needs with hundreds, thousands of new items added over the years....
The last House and Bank Storage Upgrade was in 2010 with High Seas which gave +20% then, no House and Bank Storage Upgrade was released since then.
I think that it is about time that we get an additional House and Bank Storage Upgrade after 15 years, to help UO players try to deal with way more storage needs that have increased so much over these years.
Just look at the eggs for the current Event, how many they are, the doubles and triples to keep if one wants to trade them with other players...
And to those who say "discard", "delete" "trash" other, older UO items to make room for "newer" items well, do we really want to alienate UO players from wanting to play the game ?
How so ?
Because collecting items, in a heavily itemized game such as Ultima Online is, takes time, players' time.
Now, what would players think, if the eggs that we are collecting today, will need to be tossed away tomorrow to make room for newer items that will be released ?
They would think, "why bother" then today to collect these eggs and spend time if tomorrow, inevitably, they will need to be tossed away to make room for newer items ?
The lack of storage to accomodate for items which players spend their time to find and collect, risks, to my opinion, to bring up a "why bother" mentality whereas players, more and more, could loose interest in playing UO and getting items in the game since, inevitably at some point, those items which took time, a lot of their time to collect, will need to be tossed away to make room for other, newer items.
Who like to waste time all for nothing ?
If the items that are being collected today will have to be trashed tomorrow because of storage issues, well, then why bother collecting them today in the first place ?
At least, that is how I see it.
