Has anyone noticed Dragon nest coordinates moving when re-opening?

I've had this happen 3 times now (randomly) where the map coordinates change by 1 degree upon reopening the map. At first I thought I just needed more coffee when jotting down the coords...then it happened a second time and I thought maybe I fat fingered a number...but this last time it changed multiple times when I was trying to dig for the nest. This is always on ATL for me (only shard I do maps). It's happened 3 times out of probably 50-60.

Providing a screenshot to give you an idea of what I mean.

Anyone else having this kind of issue?

Yep, it happens when they are right on the line between two cords. I actually like it when I notice makes pinpointing the cheat faster.
#3
Yes it happened to me with a 4 and 5.  The final spot was far from the pin point.
#4
This is working as intended. The coordinates get barked as "rough coordinates", which have a variance. The pin itself doesn't move, and you can get the exact coordinates from a Davies Locker if you need to. 🙂

The problem is, the pin point is not correct on the
Maps that change.  It matches the original chords. When they change, the pin point is far away.

I've had some with natural markers, like a big rock and edge of water.  The map shows it by the rock, but the nest is not by the rock.

I haven't tried using the Davies for the exact coords so maybe you are right there.

Thank you for this; I've started realizing this as well. When something pops between like 30W and 31W then I know it's on the line and then I just need to find the North/South or vice versa.

I only put an unread map in the Locker, Ill try that. Thanks.

I have not used the cords once ever for any map or nest you guys need to get gud

Ok, I was not going to say that.  I don't use the coords well  so I do T maps by sight.  I knew this maps coords were off because I was on that spot!  When I dug the nest it was no where near the pin point or the pin head and shadow.

CUO has a map that looks just like the T map and you can zoom or rotate to fit.

Ill try the locker later, right now I am skilling my new Juvenile Manticore!

It's a cc vs ec thing in ec my map makes it easier to find spot

The DJL  gives the same rounded off coords.

How is this different?

I don't read "as roughly 102s 2e" but an exact pin point of 102s 2e..

What is your question exactly?
#13
Why would I use the DJL as told, when the map says the same thing? That map was not exactly at that spot, it was a few squares away, but within tolerance.

I'm not the only player who reads a map 3 times and it says the same coords, then on the 4th read it says different coords.  Argue with Keven, he has a picture of it.

Why would this be submitted to QA if not an issue?  Just here to troll I see.

Yep, it doesn't give it as  102.46S 2.24E so not really more exact. I guess the real question is if it will change coordinates if you take it out and put it back in the Davies.

This is what I actually understood from the CM explanation.. once it's decypher.. put it in a Davie's it's gonna lock the map to a specific location. no more "rough estimate" it's set in stone.

I personally hate doing maps since they change the treasure hunting to random location.. as a legit CC user.. I hate the sextant.. knowing our in game map is turn like 45 degrees.. it's very very unintuitive.. knowing how good EC got it.. or even the cheaters.. it's such a shame..

I was pump for manifestation of evil.. I ended up doing ~5 maps total. soooo frustrating.. such a shame.

I noticed that once I placed it in the Davies, the map never updated its coordinates again. Of course, I went straight to the nest after testing, so it didn’t really have a chance to change beyond the first five minutes post-test.

I basically refuse to dig t-maps after the major revision several years ago. You waste a lot of time trying to locate the chest; sometimes you just cant locate it - 10 minutes or 30 minutes or days after. Any tricks or workarounds aren't simply enough. There's gotta be better ways.

How about like those sparks (hidden chest) in this event for directions, or wider radius, whatever...etc.

Do not mind me then.. I understood something else from the CM intervention.

A bit off topic but even though my account is 25yrs old I'm only 84 months played, as I understand it I can not buy a Davies locker but if I traded with someone else could I place and use it ?

Correct. Vet rewards have had their timers eliminated (outside of very few like the 25yr vet shield) so if you bought the locker from another player you could place it and use it. You can also use public lockers if you know where one is.

@Community Manager - Honestly this isn't a game stopping issue for me to have the coordinates move since it's not every map but if the locker is still only giving the rough coordinates then as Pawain and others have said it doesn't seem in line with the explanation given. Any chance to re-ask and hopefully have it addressed?

@KroDuK was correct in my explanation.
once you put the map into the Davies locker it will give the exact location and no longer an estimate (rough coordinates). Its location is locked in at those coordinates.
