Vendor search completely broken

On Atlantic, any new item put on an auction safe or vendor is not showing up. I was told this by a guild mate and have verified it myself. I put two things on safes and two more on two separate vendors and almost 24 hours later none are showing up on vendor search. I have tried to remove them and put them up again today and still after a few hours still not showing up.

Would be nice if they took a few moments to address the failed vendor search on Atlantic instead of jamming another ToT down our throat in record time mind you. Going on 6 years of vendor search being incredibly broken at the best of times  :*

Confirmed. My vendors are not updated after restock this morning.

Yeah, I'm filtering out brittle but still getting brittle items in the results. Looks like we'll have to go back to the old days of running around looking for vendors.

This can be frustrating but it's really an Atlantic problem that rarely affects me (only on monthly shopping trips) and doesn't deserve any real developers time

What an odd thing to say considering Atlantic is the only server that matters.

Yes - we are aware of the issue and the database will be reset to improve performance.

Any search with a keyword doesn't work for me, from veteran rewards, artifacts, imbuing ingredients. Again, this is only thing that have been newly put on vendors/safes since Monday morning will not show up. Things that have been listed before Monday morning are still showing (if they haven't sold).

I wish I could confirm/deny for you but I've either gotten failed searches or search has been down for the last hour so I give up.

Tell me what to look for, Ill try.  My luck is with Obelisks, not VS tho, so.

can confirm vendor search still completely down, no new items show.  any new info on this?  appreciate this game and all the devs do but this not working is a dealbreaker for me as this is the part of the game i enjoy most

2 days now that my items are not showing on VS. I checked all items on all vendors, same results

We will be preforming DB maintenance when Publish 121 goes WW - barring any major issues with the pre-release shards we expect that to happen on Tuesday.

Anything you can do this afternoon to get it working before that DB maintenance would be great. Waiting till Tuesday after it's already been broken 4 days is criminal

You can try opting out and opting back in, and that will help get your vendor back in the search.  This may take some time.  Ultimately we need to upgrade the hardware that vendor search is running on, and that work is slated with our platforms team in 2026.  Thank you!

done that 3x already and even before and after server up

To anyone thinking about trying this, don't bother, it doesn't help. Nothing helps. We will have to wait out all 10 days until Tuesday for a 'fix' apparently. Unacceptable in any other game, but this is UO. Would be nice to get credited 10 days of game time for this.

I want to give an update: something ticked over in the last ~30 minutes and I was able to get a new things to show on VS. Or maybe I got the 1 in a million lucky.

I wont have time to use VS until, looks at calendar, February.

you are the only Luck 1...

I just want to express my frustration about the Vendor Search system right now.

I have vendors placed on Pacific, Napa, Baja, and Chesapeake since Monday, and none of my items are showing on VS, no matter what I try.


I’ve already done everything possible:

  • Moved vendors between facets

  • Opted in and out of VS multiple times

  • Repriced items

  • Even replaced vendors completely

Still, nothing shows up on Vendor Search.

This is extremely frustrating because I’m losing over a week of my paid accounts, which I rely on to make gold. It’s not fair that something outside of my control is preventing my vendors from being visible.

and TBH, the last few msgs from the Devs about this, is not looking good:

  • Yes - we are aware of the issue and the database will be reset to improve performance.  
  • This issue should be resolved, please let us know if you encounter further problems.
  • it should bounce back, we'll need to run some maintenance with the new publish as well
  • We will be preforming DB maintenance when Publish 121 goes WW - barring any major issues with the pre-release shards we expect that to happen on Tuesday.
  • Regarding VS it's going to require a restart once we get Publish 121 WW, which barring major issues with the pre-launch shards should be Tuesday.  In the meantime engineering is looking at alternative solutions.

Lets see IF after the publish this is resolved or what the next excuse will be.

Are you paying your sub with InGame gold?
Not an affiliate?

Then what is the problem?

You are gonna be able to sell those items soon enough.
Have you try Britain Bank or the market chat?


PS: as it mention up there.. you already know what the next problem "excuse" is going to be, if there is one.. Upgrading the hardware in 2026.

appears to be working this morning, I set this vendor up today and put this item on it right after server-up
