Tried  to play, patched and now only get "problem communicating with...'  message

Publish 121?

No idea, made sure patched and rebooted, seems to be working fine now. Had no issues with Windows 10 machine. Takeaways-  I blame Tylenol, after Microsoft. I did not mind the problem communicating with Origin message so much, changing it to problem communicating with Jared Kushner is a little more concerning.

Soon.  Maybe in conjunction with NL transfers the 14th.

That is what we do in UO. Kill stuff get prizes.

Since you don't play, you have not noticed the events are now muti tier designs.  That is what they were working on.  It's not just gather at a spot and kill a boss.  There is more nuance to the events now. 

If you do not like how the events on NL and Prodo are made.  Then it is time to move on.  This is what we do, kill stuff, get rewards.

You can ask them for a house decorating event, or a crafting extravaganza, if you don't want to kill stuff.

As usual yall add no ideas for what you would like, and have no resume to show what games you have made.

Nope. I like the UO that @Kyronix has been making since 2012.  You do know he has been the coder this whole time.  He puts what he likes into the game. So you been paying for his game for 12+ years and still don't like it?  I can sell you junk that you don't like too. What's your email, I'll send you a square invoice to pay for my services. Read the new content.  These type events are what they worked on for 5 years and have been testing on NL and prodo.

If you do not like this type of event with many steps and layers, then you are not going to like UO.  It's your choice to keep paying or not.

We are  fighting Victor and the dragon on NL. With GM toons.  Also fighting all the red guys from the last prodo event.  These guys came from NL.

You can always play doll house on UO.   I do that many hours.

You can copy to TC right now, but when the publish changes the copy may not be available for a while, so do it now.


All I can say is OMG and something profane  I cant say to Jack and username.  This publish is F ing AWESOME!  If you do not like what the devs are doing, you really need to leave and let the ones who do post here have opinions about this awesome stuff so we can get more of this

I just hopped on TC1 and it looks like the content while similar to ToT will be a little different. All very dragon-centric but lots of cool stuff and maps to dragon nests which is different from other events. 

I'd encourage you (and everyone) to pop onto TC1 to check things out before passing judgement.

This event is still a grind*.  There's 10 pages of NPC rewards 4+ methods of getting  items.  Gonna take a lot of hours to get a significant amount of items.
With the different methods at the same time, you have to decide which items you really Want

You don't get new nor old players with FOMO on a 30 yrs old MMO. Fix and address stuff, instead of making things worst, with those OP bribe, mainstream a very bad way. TY! It's bad business the temporary stuff imo. Specially with the actual terms & automation problems!

I'd prefer if the old bribe would come back and be implemented in the actual game.. recipe.. farm.. real content.. instead of this.. this is a shame.. I won't sit around years waiting on older heresy.. this is bad for the sandbox, on so many aspects.

And for the love of god, start looking to hard cap the suits at a certain point (I would use a points system, it would simplify the MF run also.) and rework older bad balancing and/or decisions.. like recently.. u wanna cap leeches with SSI on weapons? make sense.. but did u realised ranged, 2hander and 1 hander all share the same SSI hardcap? *golf clap*
My first thought would be to cap the maximum leeches in the formula, to X amount per minutes/seconds, on top of what u did. (u could even cap the total allowed Leech numbers on a weapon combining hp/mana/stam, ex: 150% hardcap combine, pick your poison.) 
After u can help the one hander.. first thought would be a possibility to over cap def chance ONLY via a shield type of stuff. anyway..

Even if you do better hardcap for PvP only.. do it!
You chug too much in a short period of time?.. So much stuff could be done.
We ain't even trying OpenWorld/sandbox wise, imo.

As Keven said, you best log onto TC before you dis the the devs and the fun things they are doing with UO.

The decryption cypher is straight from NL.  They use that to decode T maps.

PS:the funniest about that.. i'm a sucker for ToT stuff.. like the one in nov/dec 2024? On Felucca? Could have been great!! but yeah.. 3 months every 18 months, I would feel spoiled already and might get fed up even in good grinding conditions.

Nothing wrong with shaking off the meta every year and a half with 2-4 more options while attaching a good grind to this.

Since, most of the changes to our old nostalgic and epic dungeons failed.. we switch to this?

I wonder why it failed; it was almost like revamping digital art.
How much longer was it to do like ML dungeons, instead of retouching art and messing with our nostalgia and habits.. more options.. not this.
Luckly enough, I was still able to farm hide and train pets in ice dungeon farming WW, toying with serpentines or leveling weapon on lizardman while farming hide at despice.. yes it was dumb and slow.. but fun, to me.

I looked through the list of things you can get with turn in points and would recommend the devs add a 30 SDI reptile slayer spell book along with the existing 30 SDI dragon slayer spell book in the list.  There were multiple melee weapons with reptile slayer on them but no spell book.

No need to point out the melee equivalent.. since u cannot compared these two. Mage vs Melee.

But logicly if they already have a 200% dmg dragon, no reason to not give a 100% reptile to mages.. it's only QoL at this point.. Cuz someone optimize would usually avoid super slayer.

Maybe thing changed with power creeping being so easy and out of control, but logicly super slayer were just QoL.. not optimization.

You lot have a very different definition of 'lazy' than I do. New artwork, new mechanics, all take time and effort to devise and implement. 
It was said way back before NL was live that they would try out some things on NL for later use on Prodo - but now anything they did that with you miserable lot class as 'recycled'.  You demand something 'new' to do, because you can't possibly entertain yourselves with the wealth of existing permanent content, and when it's provided, you do nothing but find fault with it. 
I'm out of patience with the lot of you. I can play every day and find something I enjoy doing. Why can't you?

The problem they mention A LOT.. dev working on a theme park UO; NL.
and recycling their "new" stuff for prodo.
Or those temporary event instead of taking a bit longer for Perma content.

If u look at prodo.. like I mention.. there is A LOT of cracks. It's like painting your walls without plastering them nor washing them; to add that decypher thingy, in such condition.
