How many Barrels of Explosives needed "per Siege" run at Rifted Crown Event ?

The reason for asking this, is that I read at https://www.uoguide.com/The_Rifted_Crown

You will require about 5 Barrel's of Explosives (4 for the front blockades and 1 for the back blockade), about 5 Siege Deployment Kits and 11 to 12 Siege Ammunition Kits.

Each wall takes around ~40-50 bombs (or 1 Barrel of Explosives) to destroy.

NOTE. I read as mentioned at the UO-CAH page 2 Walls to take down.

Now, I understand that 1 Barrel has 50 charges which I assume, means it can "produce" 50 Pyroclastic Bombs.

But why UOGuide says that about 5 Barrel's of Explosives (250 Pyroclastic Bombs) are needed for the 4 front blockades and the 1 back blockade while UO-CAH mentions 2 Walls and each needing 40-50 Pyroclastic Bombs to take down (total of 80-100 Pyroclastic Bombs or 2 Barrel's of Explosives) ?

That is, there is a difference of 3 Barrel's of Explosives as needed per Siege run in what I read on the UOGuide page and what I read on the UO-CAH page.

Anyone knows which is the accurate info about how many Barrel's of Explosives are needed per Siege run ?

Thank you.

When multiple players throw stuff, without knowing how many bombs they throw and how many participate in the throwing it is hard to be able to make the math...

He'd rather ask than try.

Wall pieces on Baja are losing 1% per bomb.  3 walls 300 bombs minimum. Bomb does area damage to pieces.

Takes more if players are knocking out more than 1 slat.

That's why I say multiple players should be doing the bombs and catapults.

It seems cah says around 10 catapult kits. Each kit has 10 shots.  Also 100 hits.

You asked for crafters to be more involved in UO.   They are in this event.

Well, then, considering that each Barrel makes 50 bombs, would that mean that 6 Barrels are needed per Siege ?

Then, why do I read different info on either UOGuide or UO-CAH ?

You asked for crafters to be more involved in UO.   They are in this event.

And that is very good, I am just trying to understand what is needed to run a Siege because the informations I am reading, and now what you are indicating, are confusing to me...

So wondering start doing be the information for once go talk to the crafters since you refuse to believe anything

It could take 100 or 1000 per wall.  Maybe one group was not throwing on the same panel.

First thing I did was try to toss them at another player.

You can go to a test shard and watch a panel go down 1% when its hit.

I need the rubble all the rubble

this is the reason he asks 100%

Turn up, sit on arse, watch others do all the work, near the end. throw a few bombs, save his recourses, "contribute" to fight, progress

so when there is lots of work to do, wait around.

Typical Popps

just like multi boxers at EM events,  wraiths, called in when the reward is due, no interest in contributing, or like previous events, once the 10 drops are given out, sit back, watch recall away

selfish as always

Of course YOU could actually have been doing all this on test Popps and give out data from YOUR findings.

of course, not even contributed on test centre have you Popps?

Oh, silly me,  thats not in your DNA is it Popps

you are finding out how you have do just enough to get rewards, NEVER any more than the bare minimum

Don't feed him people,  let him do some work for a change

I'm sure whoever asked that, didn't mean they should be required to even activate the event.

Anyone in their right mind would mean they'd like to see crafters have a way to earn rewards. as opposed to only playing a sampire or a tamer for the entire event.

My cook can make Daemon Cheek Sandwiches to get  drops!  I'm in!

Threw 2 Barrels 100 shots knocked down the first wall on LS  got 3 drops, 4 Rubble, 1 Cube!!!
Leaving so I put some barrels on Vendor.  That's at least 10M worth of items so I priced at 5M each.

Hmm....One of the outer walls was already taken down. I took out the other one with 100 bombs, 99 to be exact.

Used 5 ammo kits on catapult and didn't blow a hole in the wall. No idea what gives. But if it takes more than that it seems excessive.

The Catapults took more than 10 ammo kits.  12 to 15.

You just need the deployment kit to activate a Catapult, so you just need 1 if you don't leave.

You can carry 12-15 ammo kits? I’m setting up my kits with 1 siege kit and 5 ammo kits so the weight stays manageable. You must be bringing in a helper.  😂

Shh after 5 or 6 I'm so full of drops and rubble that I say I ran out while I go unload.

The one just now took at least 14 ammo.

It is possible to fire the catapult with a crafter using a giant beetle to hold the kits, but you need the warriors to protect you from the spawn.
#18
Do crafters do more damage using the catapult?
#19
I do not think so. You also don't see a damage output though (outside of % decrease) so not 100% of that
#20
If you are just a crafter, you can still get drops from catapults after the gates are open.

I tried it with a luck suit.  Drop rate seemed the same.

I used potion during phase 2/3 and didn't seem to get more drops does it only work in tot dungeon

From what I understand it only works in dungeons.

I think it increases the amount of points or whatever you get from killing things, which increases the amount of drops.  So if it took you X amount of killing things between drops, it might be X/2 amount of killing things between drops.

That's way too generalized and is probably based on what you are killing, but you get the idea. If it took you 10 minutes to get a drop, it should take 5 or 6 or whatever.

I was finally able to participate in Phase 1, so I'd like to share the results of my investigation into the number of "barrel of explosive barrels required.

To cut straight to the point,
If you use a barrel of explosives to destroy the large gate,
Without Alchemy Skill, the minimum required is 24 barrel of explosives.
If your Alchemy Skill is Grand Master, the minimum required is 17 barrel of explosives.
Strictly speaking, there is a little left over, but 16 barrels of explosives is not enough.

1. The first small gate
Here you typically need 2 barrels of explosives.
However, if your Alchemy Skill is Grand Master, you will only need about 1.5 barrels of explosives.

2. The second small gate
You need the same number as the first small gate.

3. The large gate
Generally, a barrel of explosives is not needed.
However, if you want to conserve resources, you can use barrel of explosives.
If you try to destroy this gate with barrels of explosives, it usually requires 20 barrels of explosives.
Also, if you have Grand Master Alchemy Skill, you can increase the bomb's effectiveness by 50%, and destroy the gate with 14 barrels of explosives.

When destroying big gates, it is recommended to use Siege Deployment Kits and Siege Ammunition Kits if you want to save time, and barrel of explosives if you want to save resources.

If you use Siege Deployment Kits and Siege Ammunition Kits, you will need about 10 to 15 Siege Ammunition Kits because you cannot specify the location of the gate to be destroyed.

I'm sure this is already common knowledge, but I thought I'd share this because some people didn't know that the large gate can be destroyed with barrels of explosives.

I hope this is helpful.
