we should have an option on the forum to block some people for posting

we are asking the basic common sense from people and we want to have an open discussion about something that is affecting a lot of players bad or good and we want to discuss in a civil matter, can we??

Use common sense: there's no reason to post here. The Devs have made their decision... and the message is loud and clear. The chance of them undoing what they have done is ZERO. Understand?

We will never have honest open discussion here we have to pretend 3rd party clients don't exist and they developers have over sensitive skin..

I think most of us here are adults (even thoght we all dont act like it all the time) and should be able to talk about the truth like it or not in an honest discussion or we can keep playing make believe riding are unicorns and all.... (wait nvm)

Yes, and some of them are 'adults' that are trying to justify cheating in a 30 year old game to, at minimum, gain an unfair advantage over other players in PVP, or what we've seen, totally exploit destroying the experience for everyone at these events in the game for personal gain.

Some scripts, just allow CC to do what Enhanced can already do.

Many are pure Quality of Life, personal, and customised.

How are they cheating?

This is a script in action. I use it on my Rogue, to give me quality of life.
I also gave the Devs a heads up, and requested they build it into Classic Client, because it just makes the character so much nicer to play. It would help the entire playerbase in my opinion - so I requested it on behalf of the Rogue playerbase. It's not like I even hide, or keep my playing improvements secret, I am trying to get them out there, and being blocked all the time.
They have not implemented it yet, will they ever implement it, I do not know - down to the communication Grim often goes on about.
I do know, they took some notice, because Town Invasion system notices started appeared in the middle of the screen where a player naturally looks - so I appreciate them listening - but I am asking for more of this.
In 10 minutes, I had made a script for it, and my playing life was just a million times nicer.

It's easy to say that when your third party still ain't working.. try to do that when u have 2 sub accounts till february, after waiting for months for an event like that to happen; to collect A LOT of BIS items you've been asking and waiting for..

Try to take a VOLUNTARLY break like that.. hvn't log on UO in the past ~2weeks..

It would be a FAIR warning.. if your third party was still working and u waited some FAIRPLAY QoL from the dev team.


My opinion you should go try Everquest.
If by christmas we still have a fairly clean game, i'm coming back on UO to enjoy REAL PvP!!

There will be no-one for you to pvp against, don't bother coming back. Unless the Devs give us a change of heart, or direction.

People have suggested Rust, Pax Dei, New World to me. I will look at all. A part of me, wants to go into an immersive game/server that is all in Spanish, the amount of time I put into these games, it would be nice to come out fluent in a language as a result. Or it has been suggested, I just throw my money into Crypto, and see what happens ! 🙂

This. Not all scripting is illicit or exploitative. If we really want to get into the nitty gritty, MACROS ARE SCRIPTS. While I understand and agree with username's fervor to get rid of cheating, I'm starting to think they may not entirely understand legitimately how prevalent scripting really is among the user base. The problem is not scripting itself, it's that open scripting will sadly, always be abused. There are many legitmate reasons to run scripts, the vast majority of acceptable uses being QoL improvements. Having an auto-organizer again would be nice...

I feel you.. day 1 when i reinstall in june I try to reinstall UOA (had paid 15 bucks for it on the main account back then)

the site seems sketch and all.. so I skip it.. Recently i've seen Mariah linking something to help us cuz if I understand it correctly UOA is now "abandon" we still can use it tho, but yeah way harder to make it work.. knowing i lost my ID, pass and all.. might take a while u know.


To answer your question.. imo it's a bad decision coming from the management.. they wanted to invest money in a cooler newer client (KR) and the studios kept working on it.. they assume/rework some of their mistakes cuz the EC is clearly better than KR.. but yeah..

IMO they miss the mark, cuz the old 2d iso client looks so damn good.

Who knows.. maybe the CC is too complicate for them to work on?? no idea, but agreed tho.. imagine if all the money and time invest on KR/EC went into the CC.


PS: i was still using CC without UOA.. cuz anyway even with UOA i couldn't have compete with those frame skipper.. at least I had an excuse (no potting, not swapping weapon, not dismouting, etc etc)   🙁
I even had to redo a couple macro everytime i logged in cuz those key won't save on the CC.. like the key left of 1.. on my keyboard it's: #.


I realised not all third party users were bad boy and ruining other players experience to compensate their fragile ego/ lower esteem.. for that i'm sorry.. I even seen one taming Cu Sidh helping noob with his 2 bots (a bard healer and a sampire killer) while playing his tamer.. this dude was clearly not profitting from it (unfair advantage in PvP) nor ruining nobody experience.. he was a trammy tamer and very helpfull.

Maybe they will now.. like FPS and bigger screen is coming (personally not what i wanted on top priorities, but still is something coming)

So for now, if thing stays like that.. i'm 100%gonna reinstall UOA when i'm coming back (still have doubt still not logging in game; the disapointement would be too hugh to see those bots and frame skipper invade Fel city again).. cuz i will be able to compete against other legit UOA PvPers.. i'm 100% not gonna buy another UOA license for my alt account tho.

Maybe soon enough they gonna come up with more improvement on the CC (other than FPS and resizable screen)

I don't think we need another thread on this. The devs are fully aware of the opinions, I believe they have some CC changes in the pipeline, but things don't happen overnight!  Their work load is planned months in advance, not weeks and certainly not days.
