Curious how the spawn rate will be.... curious how this will work out.
Very surprised this is a global fix, not just Atlantic, as all other shards players seemed to say it wasn't a problem. It's going to spread out their spawn even more, unless again the spawn rate will still be decent in the towns and dungeon at same time. Time will tell. Also, this isn't really much of a fix, just hoping a solution by dilution.
And damn the solen hive, that's the best we could come up with. Ugh. Long skinny corridors. Won't be much room for spawn or to move around. Hope the AFK penalty thing is set up for this one, the AFK bots in towns is getting a bit ridiculous.

Since there's no need to move between towns, no doors, etc. I suspect the solen hive will become the premier bot zoo. We'll see if it makes the cities any more livable. I suspect it's going to remain a snore without any stronger spawn.

@Kyronix Seems like you have been listening to some of the concerns people have had. For this, are the solen hives going to be actively invaded all the time? Or is it going to be added to the city rotation? Additionally, the change to poisoning seems like a minor change for the traps. I personally haven't had issues with it, but what I HAVE had issues with is 1) people raiding the chest that I detected 2) overall loot from the chests 3) chests disappearing fairly quickly, especially during heavy spawn. As for the fighting portion of this event, to this point on ATL I have only been able to play in Fel. Which has been mediocre at best, since I would prefer to play with my PVM character in a PVM environment, as opposed to a PVP one.
Going back to the list...
1) In high density environments, people will sit on top of my chest as soon as I detect it. They will wait to hear the click, or not, they might just be trying to open it nonstop... And they will immediately take whatever they can from it. As a treasure hunter as my main, and a thief I made for this, it feels once again doing all the work for someone else's benefit.

What would it look like if you added either: Increased drop rates for the shattered sanctum items OR keeping that portion the same, but adding some random actual rewards from the events into the chests at a relatively high rarity? This would greatly encourage people to try this portion. However.... This would also exacerbate the first issue.
3) Some of the chests I have detected have disappeared before being able to loot them, often times due to too many paragons or monsters around. Is it possible to add some sort of pre-loot timer? Such that a chest that hasn't been popped / disarmed stays longer than a chest that has been raided?
Anyhow, the few other people who are participating in this portion of the event would probably be able to chime in on this as well.

On Atlantic, there's a bot in every pot, a bot on every street corner, and a bot behind every blade of grass. The Solen Hive will likely become completely infested with bots as well. The undead invading Britannia's cities aren't the biggest problem, it's the bots invading the cities. Make it to where you can't recall out of the Solen Tunnels, then lure all the bots into them, and blow up the exit holes with Greater Explosion Potions to permanently seal in the bots and entomb them forever.

I think the addition of the Solen Hives is really neat and unexpected. Won’t judge before it’s live. The team has been quite responsive to feedback with this event, which is great to see. I was a bit concerned things would slow down for the prodo shards since NL was released, but we actually have quite a bit going on at the moment.

What am I missing here..? 24/7 pro bot region, anti noob & only on trammel!?
Making this on Felucca would have been SOOO funny.. give me 2 paragon chests i could trap 10+ bots in those tunnel to grab the tamer to decimate them all at once.

My wife loves to use the dishwasher, but I argue it takes away the nostalgia and that feeling of it being real, it automates the process, and this is never a good thing.
I'm pretty certain you are like me on this one, you've got to do it the old nostalgic way, we should never progress or improve. 🙂

Re the changes.
An extra full-time location was specifically asked for. Solen Hive is interesting, if it is full time, all the bots will go there, although the teleporters will be interesting, that will restrict them a lot as there are a lot of levels, and teleporters in Solen Hive.
3 good fixes, and a reduction of difficulty level for rogues, which should help a little.

I've done maybe 20-30min of testing on Origin. My thoughts:
- The density of spawn on Origin with nobody else there (that I saw) was good, IMO. Everything counts too (solen / ant lions /etc). What is hard to test here is load balancing with 30-40 bot trains running around killing everything.
- It doesn't appear that they changed "how" things spawn; ie there are still those bonfire things where the monsters spawn. This will likely mean ATL will have the campers hanging out down there. Not a huge issue but I think it needs to be heavily policed with that anti-afk flag where damage cannot be done.
- There is a necromage that will spawn down in the tunnels. I decided to kill him but I don't think it's worth it. Getting 2 drops for about 10min of attacking seems too little.
I applaud the Devs for trying something to help with the lag/spawn and good karma on fixing some of the rogue pieces for the event; definitely a step in the right direction. For me, on ATL, the question will be how is the spawn density going to be impacted if we get all the bots running around in the hives and the legit players are in the towns? Hopefully it's still the same amount of spawn as if everyone in the tunnels was in the town.

I just did a run through for about 30 minutes. I cleared the SW area with no problem and at the end only saw one other person. Then I went to the NW corner and didn't take too long to get targeted by multiple high level paragons.
Only problems I'm seeing is that when the Necromancer was announced it is difficult to try to locate him and I didn't see any healers down there.

I did another hour on Origin. Here is what else I found:
- I saw one other person in there this time but we decided to clear separate areas so the spawn density was still pretty good (IMO). There were a few areas that accumulated paragons and I did end up dying a couple times (missing one swing in a heavy spawn is all it takes lol). Overall - I think for Origin and other less populated shards the spawn density is good...I am interested to see what it will look like for ATL though because I do not think the current amount will satisfy all the bots people running around.
- The tunnels work like any other town where it "starts", stuff spawns, necromage spawns, then it "ends" (ie stuff stops spawning). After 5min or so it restarts, but will switch out the "high end" monster with a different one. I started with LL and the second one they were replaced with Skele Drakes.
- The spawn DOES drop stuff after the message is given that the invasion is over (I think that maybe it wasn't before in the towns?).
Personally, I think the addition of the solen hives will help make for a better event; it will for sure improve things on all shards outside of ATL. That said, I do think the solen hives will be a bot heaven on ATL as it's an easier version of getting drops compared to the town. I do feel some sort of way on that given that it makes it that much easier for bots while still making the average single player still need to grind for drops (either competing in the tunnels or grinding in the towns). I think the biggest thing on ATL will be what the spawn density is like AND how much they police the bots (technically the hives should be much easier to catch bots as it's a smaller area).
Hats off to the Dev team for this update/upgrade for all non-ATL shards; I really do not see a negative from it.

First off - you don't anything about me so trying to say I have anything to do with botting is a complete joke. You obviously do not read my posts or you have issues with your memory.
Second - You are saying it's 24/7 but it's not because it follows the same exact schedule as the towns. It shuts down for 5-10min like the towns. You are showing your ignorance and/or lack of actual playing the game because anyone that has used a warrior for a whole invasion knows you need to make repairs on your weapon after 1 invasion and armor after 2 maybe 3... The solen hives are no different than a town.
Third - My post is coming from someone who does not bot and I stand by it that there isn't a negative. Could there be MORE done? Yes absolutely, but this update isn't a bad thing. Instead of crying non-stop about bots; why don't you tell me what the negatives are for the average non-botter?? Why are you so angry that the Devs made it possible to get more drops in general? To take your own words... tell me you're a botter without telling me you are a botter. You are mad because you won't be able to keep the price of drops high. What you have a habit of doing, is taking all your grievances in real life, and ingame, from every person ever in your life, and dumping them on just the next person you are annoyed with. None of it is justified.
So for the record, my eldest, 16 year old son, is one of the UK's best athletes, he is aiming for 4xA* at his A-Levels, including further maths, and programming - he does want to be a programmer. You don't get as good at that stuff without an insane level of hard work. It is on record, that I have encouraged him to use scripts in UO, to help him learn Python, and JavaScript - both of which he has to learn as part of his studies. UO gives me a fun way of learning for him. Python, Java, coding, are the real world. UO is a game. What are games for? To help you learn for the real world. It is on record that I begged the Devs not to go too hard in their war on 3rd parties, as I believe the concepts involved in them, are actually the way forward for younger generations, and all of us in fact.
I am very sorry to tell you, I believe in insane levels of hard work, and yes, I am proud of him.
I will not say anything about the youngest, because of age. And I know you do not believe they exist, you do not believe anyone, on anything, and you can never learn, or adapt. But everyone in my guild who has played in voice, or pvp'd with them, know they exist.

I cannot think how bad it would be for the game if third party site would have to raise their price and work extra harder (again wich will never happen for obvious reasons)
