PLEASE - PLEASE - PLEASE - PLEASE FIX VENDOR SEARCH 2025

See: my signature. Vendor search has never really 'worked'. It should, but it doesn't. Hardly gives results 50% of the time with two keywords, let alone 6 criteria. Sad, isn't it?

Can't even make regular vendor searches 50% of the time without it timing out and then 'Vendor Search' being grayed out and unavailable. My god the incompetence.

Is it just the really complex searches?  I don’t play Atlantic.  Now it works most of the time on my shard. I usually search based on two or three criteria.  Search above has at least six.  Game is old.  If it has to do separate searches for each criteria that might why it does not work.  Know it’s frustrating.  When I started, I was lucky if it worked at all during the night.  Had to try several times during the night and hope to hit a time when it was working.

I've already made a post about this and it has nothing to do with vendor search it's about the fake items they're putting up for sale with fake names like 120 animal lure and they'll put it a 120 fishing in the description and ask for 75 mil on a 180K item. They did not remove these items to start with and now the scammers have loaded the server full of them. I mean 100K or more items we're not talking a little bit we're talking a lot. If they were to remove the description of these items or even band of scammers I bet you vendor search will be a lot better.

Aww, does it hurt your feelings when people ask for things like features that actually work or a game not 100% ruled by bots?

I find it really funny that there are posters on these forums, and it seems like a vocal majority, that kick and scream when you call out something in the game that's just plain broken or needs adjusting. Heaven forbid we have a working vendor search that every other MMO has! No, ours must be broken, part of the 30 year old game UO Charm™ and the Devs can do no wrong. And we wonder why these systems remain broken..

It's not what we say it's how we say it no wait if we seem rude or repetitive it's from years of being ignored and attacked by the sugar trolling koolaid drinkers 

The vendor system is a VERY good system.. if no one uses it.. it's like saying the game will stop lagging when people will stop logging in.. if the designer cannot figure it out.. maybe a upvote/downvote or sponsor vendors system could partially fix some issues..

Like the design is broken off the bat.. I could if I wanted; flood the market (vendor search) with items i have no intention of selling.. putting unreasonable price.. (free stockage; load a bag with 124 items sale it for $$$)
In same time the dev could come here and tell you.. well the vendor search is broken cuz u have too many items of the market!

No s... sherlock.. I just loaded vendor with 5k overprice items to save room in my houses.


PS: I still prefer their new vendor system to what we had before (internet site with lots of bug and only scanning market every ~6 hours)

Pretty sure traffic ain't impact the vendor search (8am or prime time..i didn't see any difference).. more like the numbers of items to scan.

PS: not defending the vendor search.. sometimes u do a research.. nada.. same research 20min later.. and stuff happear 
But yeah i think this example is of bad faith for ATL..

On a shard like legends u can legit write Shard Bound and have a list of all those items 0-175m in the same research.. the system works.. for 20% of the entire community, at best. (assuming 80% are on ATL) 

I think they just don't have the technical proficiency to make a vendor search feature that functions correctly on a populated shard, but they've already published one, and they can't exactly remove it, so now it just sits there rotting away eternally.

Finally someone says what they are looking for.  And yall live on Atlantic???  I use VS all the time there.

A guy has been selling 10 SSI jewels for years.  Type clean in the name.  Put the SSI  and one of the other properties.

You can imbue the rest. With the new event armor you may not need both of those properties. DI on pants, HCI earrings, + Healing.  Many of us will be changing jewelry.  Make them fit what your template needs.



I messed up the results picture.  His jewels are 16M each.  

like i said remove all the fake items off vs and it will speed up vs and less crash's 

Oh and BTW I looked at every jewel that day,  There was none with 10SSI, HCI and DI without any other properties.  So that's why the search took too long.

Who is gaslighting?  Tell me what u want and Ill find it.

I doubt any other shard would have items like this.

This system is seriously broken. Go gaslight and lick boots somewhere else. Or go do something productive, go toddle around on your dead shard and try to 120 your archery.

Everyone knows this system is a garbage heap and that you're a demented bootlicker with a history of responding to bug reports trying to convince people they're intended features. Nobody wants to hear from you, we just want the developers to fix their broken product.

Maybe explains in Detail what works and what does not would help fix it.

Maybe they do like I do and go to Atlantic and try a item and 3 category search and it works, which you say does not.

Then you come up with excuses as to why I can search and you can not.  (Uhhh you can't use FC because that works.)

limiting the price range helped me a lot.. u do way more research but yeah.. I usually start with 2-5m and finish with 90-120m.

PS: u should try that while researching that HC + DI jewelry.. I personally had result showing up on ATL while looking for jewelry for the samp by limiting the price range.

But yeah.. sometimes u do something like a powerscroll research nada and 20 min later the same research shows result.. like what??
PS: usually those failed research that will show result later.. just time you out from the VS for a good ~5 min.. another good legit use of multi client
