Event Bug for Revenants (Tram)

Pally can despell tamer can have pets guard them .this was brought up in testing with no change so I assumed it was intentionally left in

It appears to me that only the person a rev is summoned on can dispel it.  

I mentioned that revenants are on speed now. I think that thread got closed.

Yes only the person who they were cast on can dispel.
They can be damaged but not so much with your fire weapon.

So they were changed for this.  I new I wasn't crazy.  Wrong word choice maybe.

This is incorrect. I am telling you that I am being cast on directly and I cannot dispel. So it's following me around for 2-4 minutes hitting me while the gargoyle who cast it is long dead. Again I've tried dispel and mass dispel but get the message I cannot do that. The only "fix" for this is to recall/gate to a different town.

I dispel them when they are cast on me. Oddly they don't  make my Chiv spell get interrupted. They go up in a black tornado.  But I can not dispel the ones cast on other players.

After seeing a group of 3 "bots" staying in one place and hearing the WW sound over and over.
I noticed there was a Revenant there that they could not kill, they did start moving again but the revenant followed them and they continued attacking it until it went poof.

@Kyronix the bug still occuring with a melee character if you target the revenant casted by gargoyle you cant attact it but it follow you and damage you. it need to be fix when i select my maccro to attack select enarest hostile i always get the revenant and cant hit him so it s really annoying

Recall out of the city and then dispel or kill it.  Works for my mage.  I just recall home and dispel it there.  Mass dispel does not work in the Trammel town being invaded,  Would think this would work with melee fighters, but have not tried it with one.

Are you having trouble dispelling your EVs still?

I dispelled them in Vesper this morning while invasion was going on.
With both spells.

I have not had a revenant on me for a long time.  But I did dispel one or two a few days ago.
They were cast on me.  I can't dispel them if cast on another player.

Did then fix it ?

Not as of last night.  Will check it out tonight.

Its a bot army deterrent. So, I hope not.  😂  You'll have to change ur code.

Bot deterrent or not, its messing with my targeting and a Samp lives, and dies by the tick. It's getting really old really fast eating a death because I can't stop targeting the damn Rev who moves faster than every non-paragon enemy. Dispel Evil is not an option, 60 Chiv will not cut it nor can I spare anymore points on Chiv. Just let me hit the damn thing like I can with EVERY OTHER Rev in the damn game. I know it wasn't an intentional bot deterrent, but I would much rather the Dev team do their damn jobs than rely on an unintended consequence that makes things even more miserable for everyone else.

You can hit them in Fel. It’s not at all intentional (if it is, it doesn’t work). It’s just some oversight with them in Tram.

You are right “just another oversight” which has now become the norm for UO.  Still not working in Trammel.  Best defense is to recall home and kill them there. Mass dispel works in nonevent areas.
