Event on siege

Shadow's Awakening. there is no balance on siege. do that Town Criers does not shout where the boss is. It's just crazy. As soon as the boss appears, all PK know where you are and come running to kill you.

if things go on like this, then siege will remain without artifacts.

And? This is the fate that you accept by playing on Siege. If that is too much for you, then you might consider a server like Mugen, or Test Center.

What about Legends?
Today we got a bots invasion of wraith form archer spawning Armor Ignore on every manifestation and cuckblocking none script auto aim users, like I.

Such a shame, imagine if BS wouldn't sponsor these cheaters/behavior.

These are two different situations completely.

Situation 1 is the intended function of an event that has a boss which is announced for the entire server to participate in if they so choose, with the intended implications of being on a felucca only based shard added which is what a player accepts and agrees they want in their gameplay experience when choosing to play on such a server. Why else would one not choose one of the 25 other shards that are, aside from a couple, basically derelict and lack players?

Situation 2 is the results of no proper policing of these events, and few to no staff competently capable of investigating the reports outside of a single brain cell required, scripted GM dialogue which has long since been worked around in scripts to safeguard even the most afk of botters from action. Pair that with players having very few options to deal with these bots themselves (hey guess which facet things like this are harder to do in?) and it's a recipe for disaster.

To be fair, these are the two sides of the coin that players wanted nearly 30 years ago. 
Side 1: to be able to take from others if they so choose, and to potentially have taken from them what they want in return.
Side 2: to be able to ride the roller coaster of time gated pixels and treasures without any real risk other than someone getting more pixels and treasures than you.'

One of those was a sandbox.

Since the designers of Ultima Online wanted to provide freedom and sense of agency, it was important to allow players to act in a villainous role.

I still think people are better than that.


Hard to believe we now playing a theme gated game filled with bots/cheat engine users roaming free, they legit running the show/game.. considering Mesanna (the head of BS) declaring war on third party program not long ago.  

So using approved clients and items in the game is cheating? 

Do you play with your eyes closed also?  Well duh, you must. 40 min to find a location. I use the locker a sextant and my cloth map to find them in a lot less time.

No, it's not a fate. it is necessary to take into account the specifics of the servers when creating an event.

Tell yourself whatever you want. But that is the reality of living on a felucca only server, just because it's more difficult doesn't mean that you or anyone else deserves a private version of this event. It means you need to do something else or something more to get what you want, it's not meant to be easy and the easy route is wait for someone else to do it and pay them for what you want.
