Forced PVP now part of NL?

I've been doing the Fall Event/s past two weeks and have only signed on to NL to do BOD runs on My Mage. I was getting decent drops on the the Crimson Dragon and Icemancer using blade spirits and EV's (once I broke down and bought the scroll). Now I am hearing that EV's and blade spirits will aggro other players? If so, I will hang up my Mage Hat and let my new "legacy" die before taking root 🙁 I have no interest in pursuing the Tamer route nor that of the warrior or ranger. Without EV's my Mage is pretty worthless for other than scribing books.

Hey Hippo, not sure why you're being told you can't use EV/BS etc at Crimson Dragon or Icemancer. These are not PVP zones, so you can use both EV and BS freely to kill the bosses.

Another option, if you want, is to use other summons such as Earth Elementals or Daemon. These are incredibly strong as well and function similarly to pets.

Hello Hello... It's not the boss areas that are PvP (or VvV as it's commonly known as). It's the Champion Spawns that are now forced flag (as some have pointed out even saying PvP doesn't necessarily happen). When doing the spawns, you have to click Yes to the prompt that pops up when you enter the spawn areas. Otherwise, you won't be doing any damage with anything. You can get Tamer books and Lures from Champion Spawns, but it's not the only source as you know.

Yes though about your point with EV's and BS's. It will attack anyone and everything.
