It really sucks the UO Team are allowing developers to gate features behind additional products. Please update the real classic client to be comparable to other sanctioned clients and stop feeding us trash.
Didn't the CUO team do their work for free? The actual UO programmers get paid and they do not have the ability to build something comparable to a free product thrown together by a few people? So the UO Team authorize gated features?
Speaking as a long time player, my thoughts are thus:
There is a perfectly good client that I use daily, with no need of 3rd party clients, it's called EC
In order to obey your instruction to update CC to your requirements they would need to suspend all other development, a move the vast majority of the player base would not be tolerant of.
If the EC graphics were as good as CC that would be a viable option. Sure would be cool, if the UO Team didn't gate features behind specific graphical settings or outside product logins. Why am I a monster for asking for equality among clients lol.
"Developers drop what you're doing because for poorly-defined reasons I refuse to click the Discord button on CUO" isn't actually some noble quest, no matter how you try to dress it up. Discord doesn't cost anything.
Gating features is lame as hell.
An unpopular opinion is still a valid opinion. Sorry I don't take trash and treat it like gold.
But it doesn't need multiple threads.
