Yea, from myself, Dungeon Master Wyvern. Slurms is not only a great presence here at TWL but he has been a great liaison and ambassador for the New Legacy and Ultima Online player community writ large.
I love and value his passion for game design and teaching, the enthusiasm and pride he talks about his students, and his generosity as a player. I won’t soon forget him donating $ 300,000 gold to one of our treasure hunt roll-offs and for giving me my Supreme/Vanq decapitator like it was nothing a few months ago.
I’m looking forward to partying on, with the original party worm - the one and only, Slurms MacKenzie!
For all these reasons and more, Slurms MacKenzie stands before us now as a Knight of The Wyvern’s Lair, entrusted with upholding the honor of the guild and shaping the destiny of The Wyvern’s Lair on the New Legacy shard of Ultima Online.

How long have you been adventuring in UO?
Played UO from the end of 1999 to early 2005.
What's your favorite thing about the game?
I came back in 2024 with the launch of New Legacy. Favorite part was housing back when I originally played. This time around it's the community and the idea behind New Legacy. I hope that the devs really sink their teeth more into exploring what NL can bring to the table, and the community is absolutely fantastic; there are always a few thorns, but the community has really blossomed into a beautiful coordinated group of great people that is just fun to participate with. The server regularly has people there ready to jump in and help with almost anything, and that's just amazing.
What inspired you to join The Wyvern’s Lair on the New Legacy shard?
I joined to help as a liaison and build bridges amongst the community, and I believe in what TWL is trying to do in bringing recognition to the shard and getting people involved. DM Wyvern has been such an outspoken person to the visual social media front and gathered more people that bring attention to the server that I decided to also help along the way with where I could. I believe that the devs have a good idea on their hands here and hope they are able to push more in Season 2 of New Legacy, and I think community members in TWL and with DM Wyvern at the helm are doing a great job, so at the end of the day that's why I have a character in TWL to support that worthy endeavor.
