Stacking Small Pieces of Blackrock

Did something change recently with the small pieces of blackrock? Since these became stackable, I started hanging onto them. I thought I had all the different shapes of them; however, I noticed these week, after mining again after a bit of a break from it, that there are at least three new versions of it and they don't stack with the earlier versions.

These are the item type IDs (from the Enhanced Client) for stackable small pieces of blackrock that I had before this week and how many I had of each one:

3878 (23)
3878 (7)
3878 (4)
3878 (2)

3880 (13)
3880 (12)
3880 (5)
3880 (2)

3882 (15)

3882 (2)

The item IDs I've seen today are some of the ones from above, but they don't stack with any of the other stacks:

3880
3882

Why does this keep happening? Why won't these things stack?

Pre-publish blackrock will not stack with blackrock after the stacking changes were made.

But that happened a while ago. Why won't the blackrock I get today stack with the blackrock of the same item type ID that I got a few weeks ago or a few months ago? I mean, why won't the stack of 92 pieces of item type ID 3878 stack with any of the other stacks of item type ID 3878?

Object type isn't the only factor that goes into determining whether objects will stack or not.

Pro tip, you can insure the pre-publish blackrock so its worth more.

You can get someone to put them on a Magencia vendor and then remove them and they are all the same.

I used my 14 stacks during the Anniversary arc. Was glad to get rid of them.
