Issue with TC house contest stone left MANY designs out of the contest

So I am on TC and MANY people are saying their designs did not make it onto the stone even though they were enabled into the contest.

I finished mine WAY before the 15th but exited and re-entered the contest on both of my designs just in case. Neither one is on the stone....as is the same for many others.

PLEASE find a way to fix this!

Yeah mine was entered well over a week ago and isn't on the stone.. 

I submitted mine the first day and it isnt there !

I've heard mine is not showing, but I won't be able to see or do anything about it till 6pm pst or so, if there is anything that can be done. It was resubmitted after their announcement about things being bugged. 

My husband just told me Bleak and Mesanna are both on TC working on it. I’m sure they’ll try to rectify it.

I entered the contest a few days ago
but I checked again this morning
one wasn't listed as in the contest, so I re-entered it.
the other was showing in the contest.
(both appeared on the stone)

a friend checked this morning & his showed that it was entered in the contest
but his wasn't on the stone
I gated Bleak to this location.

I have another friend whose didn't appear on the stone.
Unfortunately she is at work and couldn't be there when the DEVs were there.
And I didn't have a rune to her plot.

I asked others in chat
if they had made sure this morning if theirs was entered.
they had made sure yesterday, but not this morning.
so maybe the bug happened sometime this morning, on clearing all these houses from the contest

Yes because the stone said BEFORE the 18th.....why check ON the 18th....we did what was told of us.

I even did as you did and took both of mine out of the contest and put them back in this morning. Neither one was on the stone. 

I am glad they are fixing it though, it might take some time...so I would hope that IF anyone voted, those votes get wiped so everyone has an equal chance.

Again thank you to Mesanna, Misk and Bleak for taking the time to do that this morning, I hope they set a time up to do it for the people who were not able to be on at that time.

TC is going down, hopefully those who were on this morning will have their designs put on the stone when it comes back up.

Mine are not on the stone as of yet. Also, the devs were on during my work hours. I am hoping a friend can help get mine on there, but with voting be allowed to go ahead I feel my chances dropping immensely. We need more hours of availability to get our submitted home actually on the stone, and for votes to be reset. 

Very popular contest on TC.   Many have already voted so its not good for those not on the list.  And would not be fair to restart voting.  Those who voted may not know to return and vote again.

both are not far west out of Umbra, just off the road each direction. If just one do the village, Id love to be able to decorate that up on my home shard someday with trees, ponds, a cave and the like.

Both entered on the stone, but using it teleports characters to center of house (not outside the house as expected) and unable to move. Could it be a bad Z-axis/elevation value? "Leave House" from character's gump works to release one from catatonic state!

@Bleak so are votes already cast going to be wiped(mine are already cast), or are the late entries at an unfair disadvantage?

The fair thing is to wipe all votes and set new window for voting in  say two weeks it's not like there's any hurry...

Will houses that got an early start be blacked out for 24 hours or we'll just not notice..

I have to agree with Kaz unfortunately, the people in bigger guilds with more friends and accounts will get more votes. It's not mainly about the best designs though that is part of it. Yes the Dev's have the final say but they vote on the ones that get the most votes...which, again, are those who have the most people/accounts.

This time around there are almost 200 entries, SO many of them are SO good it was hard for me to chose just one. I chose one that I personally would not use, but in my opinion was the best designed with the most usable space.

I have yet to cast my vote because I know there are still more that need to be added and I will give those as much thought and considerations as the other ones. People were voting almost as soon as voting was open...they literally had no time to look at every entry so you know they were voting for either their own or a friend/guildmate. Same with the governor elections...it's just the way it is.

I just enjoy looking at all of the creativity and time and effort some people took into these designs.

My 2 did not make it to the stone and I entered them on day 3 of the contest. I feel that they should wipe all votes until they fix their mistake. I work full time so I cannot pop into game when a Dev posts that they will be at brit commons.  I think it is pretty unfair to those going onto the stone late. Seems like a bunch of people got an advantage in voting by getting on the stone. Actually, if they just wipe the stone clean and give a few days for everyone to re-enter the contest would be a good solution. I won't hold my breath.

not really a conspiracy theory unfortunately, I went through the gate they were doing and it went to New Haven town square... I wouldnt have posted if the gate went a house...

I can understand some frustration surrounding this but my take on the voting is, if you’ve built a place and hope to get into the finals or ultimately win, you’re going to vote for your own design. So you’ll be patient with yourself and wait for your design to show up on the stone.

If you’ve got friends and guild mates you’re looking to recruit to vote for your design then you were most likely able to tell them your design wasn’t showing on the stone. And they’ll most likely be patient and wait for your design to show up.

And if you’re hoping you’ll get votes from players who like to look at all the designs available before they vote, I think there’s little to fear about not having a chance for your design to be seen. 

Because there’s no way players had a chance to look at all the designs on the stone before the devs showed up and started to fix the issue. They got there quickly and stayed for a long time. And came back the following day. 

Given how much chat there was on TC there’s no way players who were touring the castles didn’t see what was going on and wouldn’t know more entries were going to be added. 

I don’t think what happened will make much if any of a difference in the outcome. 

But if i had seen say xyz i wouldn't have voted for pdq so it of course makes a difference....

If you’re someone who’s going to vote before seeing many designs then it is what it is. You’ve already decided to cut most of the designs out of the running without ever having seen them.

@Bleak i am being told EJ accounts can use the brown portal to remove EJ status, and can then vote... might wanna remove the gate... maybe wipe the votes and start over after that?

How many EJ accounts do you think did that and then BUILT the castle? I think it would be unfair for someone with 1 paid account that has 2 other EJ accounts to essentially get 3 entries.... also not sure how it would work for someone to place multiple houses on the same account to place entries and then change ownership around ass needed between another account. Should be 1 entry per paid account and honestly 1 entry per person regardless. In my opinion having multiple entries per account like I've seen people post above is like someone bringing their kids along for the extra raffle tickets just so they have more chances to win.

I wonder if there is a way to wipe characters without resetting the shard. Any ejs that went through the gate could revote

I suspect there's way more castle owners than you imagine. Origin seems quite empty and at least 40 come to mind. Times how many servers?...

Town Square, formerly #41 did not come back on the stone this time?

Yeah they added a bunch, there were 167 on the stone before they took TC down, now there are 199 but Town Square isn't on there and a couple that I had written down to look at again are not there.

So everyone needs to double-check to make sure their designs were actually re-added.

Mine made it back on. Slipped from #100 to the very last entry #199

Keep in mind that the EJ account designed houses may have been removed (or at least should have)

I did design two but I took the house of worship off and submitted the town square, somewhere the system must have reversed them.  Town Square was there before but not house of worship.  I’ve tried to removed the house of worship via the sign but it doesn't let me, can you please update the stone for the correct house?

How do you build 2 houses on the same account without condeming one? I would think the system wouldn't accept a condemned house.

You can place as many houses on TC as you have money for.

no one is using dial up anymore.
and they made an ingame option that prevent to show any loaded castle, unless you step in.

there is quite few castles in Pacific and other places with 500+ mannequins that crash anyone that pass by.

Yea, I didn't realize they wouldn't put their entire names on the stone. That's on my ignorance

The small village one is #74 now. I appreciate the compliment about it. I just did not take the time to take a photo in classic client. It looks far better in classic client, and in person. It is inspired after a home I already made on my home shard. The small home in the center actually just hides the stairs up from the main level. The idea being it would look like a built in home, as opposed to player made. 🙂 Ive added the home as an example of what I was picturing as far as decor when I built the custom castle. Invisible edges. But, you also have all the space on that first level as a hidden area/basement. I spent a good week trying to add many tiny details, like the "basement" look in the front house (tavern in my mind), and the "stone supports" for the back home (witches home)

I feel Larisa’s frustration. I know people who don’t look at a single design. All they do is go the stone and vote upon request.

I get what Skett is saying too. Good or great design is very subjective. 

And I agree it would be great to give control of castle and keep design to the players on their home shards. It would make a lot more players happy than the contest does. 

Honestly, for me, I can’t think of much that I would enjoy more than being able to tinker with castle and keep designs that I could create for myself. 

I also think the Borg cube issue isn’t much of an issue. Would there be some of that? Yeah probably.  But I believe there’d be a lot more interesting and fun and dynamic designs to look at than not. 

With the option of not having house contents load as you pass by I don’t see how lag could be a big issue. Unless there’s something I’m missing about how castles and keeps can create lag. Which is entirely possible.

What percentage of the customer base owns a castle? Or keep? charge money let them design own make it have to be reviewed before it's allowed quit wasting the limited time and resources the team has so they can focus on things that impact the actual customer base..
