Is there a specific reason antique items don't give cleanup points while brittle and prized do?

No idea - likely the same reason essentially none of the Eodon armor (tiger pelt / dragon turtle / etc) gives you points either (even if brittle / prized /etc).

There are certainly some head scratchers.
Another funny thing is that cursed items will give you points on most things but I've also not received points on other cursed gear (that might just be on that item type though not cursed gear). I also just threw something away the other day that I was expecting points for (it was brittle) but didn't get anything; I think it might have been some kind of Tok armor (most Tok gear gives you points).
